Fatal traffic accident in Kwun Tong

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident happened in Kwun Tong this afternoon (April 15) in which an 83-year-old male pedestrian died.

     At 3.28 pm, a bus driven by a 55-year-old man was travelling along Hong Ning Road towards Kwun Tong. When approaching the junction with Mut Wah Street, it reportedly knocked down the 83-year-old man who was crossing the road.

     The man was trapped under the car and rescued by firemen. Sustaining multiple injuries, he was rushed to United Christian Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 4.07pm.

     The bus driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for enquiries.

     Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East is underway.

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tuen Mun this morning (April 9) in which a 60-year-old woman died.
      
     At 5.56 am, a light goods vehicle driven by a 38-year-old man was travelling along Tuen Hop Street towards Tuen Mun Ferry Pier. When approaching the junction with Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road, it reportedly knocked down the 60-year-old woman who was crossing the road.

     Sustaining serious head injuries, the woman was rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 9.42pm.
            
     The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for enquiries.

     Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North is underway.

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Mong Kok last night (April 5) in which a 53-year-old man died.     
          
     At about 9.01pm, a private car driven by a 49-year-old man was travelling along Tung Choi Street towards Nullah Road. When approaching near 198 Tung Choi Street, it reportedly knocked down the 53-year-old man who was crossing the road.
               
     The man was trapped under the car and rescued by firemen. Sustaining multiple injuries, he was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 9.57pm.     

     The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for enquiries.          

     Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West is underway.

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Kowloon City happened yesterday (February 4), in which a 23-year-old non-ethnic Chinese man died.

     At 6.54pm, a motorcycle driven by a 23-year-old non-ethnic Chinese man was travelling along Argyle Street westbound. When approaching the junction of Peace Avenue, it reportedly collided with a taxi driven by a 63-year-old man.

     Sustaining serious head injuries, the motorcycle driver was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 7.30pm.

     A 25-year-old non-ethnic Chinese male motorcycle passenger sustained slight injuries and was sent to Kwong Wah Hospital in conscious state.

    Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West is underway.

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Mong Kok this afternoon (January 3) in which a 67-year-old woman died.     
          
     At about 4.57pm, a medium goods vehicle (MGV) driven by a 39-year-old man was travelling along Argyle Street Westbound. When approaching the junction of Argyle Street and Reclamation Street, it reportedly knocked down the 67-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
               
     Sustaining serious leg injuries, the woman was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 5.57pm.     

     The MGV driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for enquiries.          

     Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West is underway.
