The National Battlefields Commission

Media representatives are invited to discover the temporary display currently being installed in the location where major events are held at the Plains of Abraham. This project will set the stage for a permanent display. Through this project, the National Battlefields Commission seeks to highlight the heritage and history of this area of the Battlefields Park.

Annie Talbot, the Commission’s Secretary-General Manager, will be on hand to address media questions.

Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

The Honourable Diane Lebouthillier, Member of Parliament for Gaspésie-Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine and Minister of National Revenue, will announce financial support to the Rocher-Percé RCM for its airport.

This CED financial contribution will be announced on behalf of the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages.

The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages, accompanied by Élisabeth Brière, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages (Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec), will present the new Tourism Relief Fund during a conversation with key Quebec tourism stakeholders, including officials from Indigenous Tourism Québec, Tourisme Cantons-de-l’Est and the Alliance de l’industrie touristique du Québec.

Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages, accompanied by the Honourable Pablo Rodriguez, Quebec Lieutenant, Member of Parliament for Honoré–Mercier and Leader of the Government in the House of Commons, will announce renewed financial support from the Government of Canada for regional export promotion organizations (ORPEX).

The ORPEX organizations aim to raise awareness among Quebec businesses of the growth potential exporting represents and then to mentor them as they conquer and diversify into foreign markets.

Canada – Invitation to media – Minister Joly to promote a new initiative to support community infrastructure projects while in Granby

Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

The Honourable Mélanie Joly will take advantage of her visit to the Montérégie region to promote the Canada Community Revitalization Fund.

This new Government of Canada initiative has been established to help communities across Canada to implement community infrastructure projects and improve existing infrastructure so they can recover from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Media representatives are invited to join Minister Joly at the Marché public de Granby et région. She will be accompanied by Pascal Bonin, Mayor of Granby, and Jean‑Nick Trudel, Chief Executive Officer, Association des marchés publics du Québec.
