AccorHotels launched the Novotel Vijayawada Varun, marking it as the 20th Novotel property to open in India and the first International hotel in Vijayawada. The hotel was inaugurated by Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in the presence of his Excellency Mr. Alexandre Ziegler, Ambassador of France, V. Ltd and with support of the Dubai Sports Council, organised 6 nation Kabaddi Masters Championship Dubai 2018 in the United Arab Emirates for 9 days from 22nd June 2018 to 30th June 2018. This was also the inaugural edition of the tournament and the first international kabaddi sport event witnessed in the UAE.
