PayPerHead Set to Begin New Pricing Until Super Bowl Promo

Sportsbook software company PayPerHead is about to release its most extended promotion of the year. The company’s Super Bowl Promo begins in July and lasts until the 2022 NFL Championship.

The National Football League has added an extra game this season, pushing both the playoffs and the 2022 Super Bowl forward by a week. First scheduled for February 6, 2022, Super Bowl LVI now happens on February 13.

Per a University of Villanova study, 93% of U.S.-based sports bettors are interested in betting on the NFL. The same report said that 13% of American adults, or 33.2 million, said they planned on making a bet on an NFL game during the 2020 season.

The study also stated that 34% of American adults planned on making NFL wagers through an online sportsbook. The study estimates total non-recorded sports betting revenue at $70 billion per year.

PayPerHead product manager Nate Johnson said internal research is in line with the Villanova study. “The study said 69% of core sports bettors are male while most are between the ages of 23 through 34. Our agents have told me their players love the NFL and, yes, most are male and fit into the study’s age demographic.”

When asked why such a long promotion, Johnson said that wasn’t the plan. “Heading into 2021, we thought we might revert to our normal promotion schedule. We offered agents the $3 per head until Super Bowl promo in 2020 to help bookie software agents get by during the pandemic. It was such a success in 2020, though, that we decided to run it again this year.”

Johnson said the company has an advantage in the industry due to its proprietary software. “We use our software, which means we can integrate with third-party platforms much easier than other organizations.”

“Also, we only provide software. We don’t double as a sportsbook, which means bookie agents mustn’t worry about us stealing their players,” he said.

Johnson added that PayPerHead doesn’t hold back during their promotions even if it lasts for more than half a year. “When agents sign-up for the $3 per head until Super Bowl Promo, they can offer all add-on platforms, including Premium Props, the Premium Gaming platform with 3D options, and Live+. They can also use the Agent Payment Solution where they and players can deposit online into their accounts.”

“We want to develop long-lasting relationships. We’ve been around since 1997. So we know what it takes to run a successful, individually owned, online sportsbook. All we care about is helping bookies make money and run successful sportsbook companies,” Johnson said.

About PayPerHead:
Founded in 1997, PayPerHead is the leading choice for serious bookies. The company’s Agent Payment Solution (APS) is the only platform in the PPH sportsbook industry that allows for online collections and payments. Bookies can offer their players a racebook, a digital casino, a sportsbook with over 80+ leagues, and an in-game betting platform. The option exists for bookmakers to add a Premium Gaming platform, Premium Live Dealer, Premium Player Props, and the Live+ betting platform with game trackers and video streams. PayPerHead also has a best-in-industry referral program so agents can add to their profitability. The company prides itself on providing industry-leading, top-class customer service with over 20 years of experience.

Japan – JAXA and Honda to Begin a Feasibility Study on a Circulative Renewable Energy System

The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and Honda R&D Co., Ltd. (Honda) today announced the plan to begin a joint feasibility study on a “circulative renewable energy system” in space, which is designed to supply oxygen, hydrogen, and electricity for human outposts and rovers. JAXA and Honda have been conducting a joint research on this system to create an environment in space where people can stay and conduct activities over an extended period of time.

In addition to water and food, people need oxygen, as well as hydrogen for fuel and electricity for various activities for life in space. One of the solutions to obtain them in space without resupply from Earth is creating a circulative renewable energy system, which combines a high differential pressure water electrolysis system that produces oxygen and hydrogen using solar energy to electrolyze water and a fuel cell system that generates electricity and water from oxygen and hydrogen.

Based on this concept, in November 2020, JAXA and Honda signed a three-fiscal year joint research agreement (through JFY 2022) to pursue research on the circulative renewable energy system for use on Lunar Orbital Platform-Gateway (Gateway) and on the surface of the Moon, utilizing Honda’s high differential pressure water electrolysis and fuel cell technologies.

In this joint research, while JAXA has been developing the study conditions according to the scenarios and requirements for missions related to the production of oxygen on the Gateway and the supply of electricity to rovers on the lunar surface based on the past investigations, Honda has been conducting technological studies to realize the missions and scenarios set by JAXA.

During the current fiscal year (JFY 2021), JAXA and Honda, utilizing the prototypes, will start the feasibility study addressing the issues on component technologies of the circulative renewable energy system identified by the research conducted during the last fiscal year. JAXA and Honda are planning to reflect the results of this year’s study on the viability evaluation of the whole system in the next fiscal year (JFY 2022).

The eGX electrified power unit inherits the high reliability and excellent installation compatibility of Honda’s GX Series general-purpose engines, which have been adopted by a large number of work equipment OEMs as a power source for various types of commercial-grade work equipment. Moreover, Honda enabled the installation of eGX to more types of work equipment by offering two types of the eGX, integrated and separate types, and also by ensuring the high compatibility with Honda GX Series engines. This was achieved by making the size of the engine-flange mounting holes and shaft dimensions identical to those of Honda GX series engines(1).

Taking advantage of the characteristics of the electrified power unit, the eGX accommodates the needs of work equipment use in places where it is difficult to secure adequate ventilation and in use environments where users want to avoid equipment noise as much as possible, such as during nighttime and in residential areas. Moreover, the eGX improves operability and ease of maintenance, which will reduce the user’s workload. The eGX also contributes to the users’ zero-emission goals.

Key features of the eGX

Motor Performance
– The eGX is equipped with a high-efficiency and high-power three-phase brushless DC motor (in class with maximum output of 2.0kW), which takes advantage of outstanding winding technology that Honda amassed through a long history of developing generators.
– A high-rigidity motor with a sealed structure realizes vibration resistance and dust resistance that can withstand construction machinery uses.

High compatibility with Honda GX Series engines
– In consideration of compatibility with GX Series engines, the size of the engine-flange mounting holes and shaft dimensions were made the same as those of Honda GX (R) 100/120 engines.

Convenience of the electrified power unit
– The eGX enables clean and low-noise work in places where it is difficult to secure adequate ventilation such as inside underground tunnels and use environments where maintaining quiet is required such as during nighttime construction work in/near residential areas.
– An easy start with simple switch operation.
– Reduction of maintenance work. (No need for various maintenance, parts replacement and cleaning that is required for engines.)
– Contribution to the realization of zero-emissions (of environmentally hazardous substances, namely HC, NOx and CO2).
– Adoption of a detachable lithium-ion battery pack which is compatible with quick charging.
