Columbus Haunted House to offer Friday the 13th Weekend Pitch-Black “Horror Survival Game” Experience

The challenge? Find your way through the new Carnage Haunted House with all the lights turned off, with just one singular glow stick for each group to provide minimal light. The goal? Make it through the twisting labyrinth of darkness without “chickening out”, and avoiding live scare-actors, determined to send chills down patrons’ spines while stalking them through a terrifying abyss.

To make matters creepier, the event will be held the weekend of Friday the 13th, and in conjunction with this superstitious date, tickets for the event are priced at only $13. Tickets will be limited to online sales of 1300 tickets.

“Welcome to our nightmare,” says co-owner Jason Mccollum, “We think you’re going to like it.” Quoting a song from famed shock-rocker Alice Cooper is not out of place when describing the event.

The attraction previously operated in a small location on Alum Creek Drive from 2017 to 2019, and began the move to a new 60,000 square foot location in early 2020. Unable to open their new location for the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the attraction plans to fully reopen their new location this autumn.

Carnage offered horror fans a “Scream Peek” of the new facility’s “Bayou” attraction this past July, which features high-intensity scare actors, sophisticated animatronics, special effects, and detailed sets. The sold-out two-night run yielded rave reviews, as the screams of Columbus locals echoed throughout the facility. A second haunted attraction is expected to open for the fall 2021 season.

“We can’t wait to see everyone’s reactions to our haunt! Be ready to be scared,” says co-owner Mia Vitale Riedmiller.

“Escape The Dark” will be open August 13th and 14th. Only 1300 tickets are available for this exclusive event, and organizers urge attendees to book theirs in advance, as the event is expected to sell out. Admission to the event is only $13 per person, and tickets can be purchased via their website, CarnageHauntedHouse .com

Carnage Haunted House is located at 3770 Refugee Road, Columbus, OH 43232.
