Beyond Imagination’s New Humanoid Robot Will Connect People Coast to Coast Physically

Beyond Imagination, Inc. is building humanoid robots to solve the world’s labor crisis by expanding access to jobs around the globe.

This week, the Beomni robot will appear at Explorers Club Headquarters and at the annual dinner on Saturday April 23rd in New York City. At the same time, across the country in Beverly Hills, CA, attendees at the Abundance360 Annual Summit will be able to remotely pilot the robot from 2,800 miles away.

Beomni is the world’s most sophisticated general-purpose humanoid robot, capable of performing an almost unlimited number of tasks. Beomni’s AI Brain learns from its human pilots and becomes increasingly autonomous over time.

Beomni will help solve the labor crisis by creating a global elastic labor force, lifting millions of people out of poverty by giving them access to jobs around the world. For example, the International Labour Organization (ILO) reports that “More than 2.3 million workers die every year as a result of occupational accidents or work-related diseases.” With Beomni, dangerous work will become completely safe because the robot will be the one taking the risks.

Elder Care is a $932B market today. We will help solve the elder crisis by enabling families to care for their own regardless of the distance between them and by multiplying the effectiveness of existing health care workers.

CEO and Founder Dr. Harry Kloor says, “We are thrilled to have been invited to demonstrate the advances we’ve made in Beomni’s development at the Explorers Club. Beomni will be a great vehicle for explorers on earth and beyond! We share the spirit of exploration and discovery that is the hallmark of the Explorers Club.”

Astronaut and Explorers Club President Richard Garriott adds, “For the last decade, I have been a power USER of early telepresence robotics devices, so I deeply appreciate the advancements in Beomni. We welcome the opportunity to showcase Dr. Kloor’s creation alongside other world-changing technologies at our event. Smart technologies like Beomni will play an important part in helping solve the challenges the world is facing. On Earth, in space and on planets beyond Earth, robots like Beomni will play an essential role!”

The robot will be on display all week at the Explorers Club headquarters so members can have an opportunity to pilot it. On Saturday, Beomni will move to The Glass House, where the annual dinner is being held. Beomni will be serving drinks and hors d’oeuvres at the reception, and at the afterparty guests will also have the opportunity to pilot the robot.

Meanwhile, across the country in Beverly Hills, a second Beyond Imagination team will be set up at the Abundance360 Annual Summit. From there, Beomni will be operated from coast to coast. Members in attendance at the A360 Summit will be able to perform tasks, pick up and examine objects and even shake someone’s hand across the country.

Abundance360 Founder, Peter Diamandis remarked, “Beyond Imagination dramatically changes the paradigm of how companies will provide services in the future, how and where you will receive healthcare, where you work and play.”

The Soap Myth at North Coast Repertory Theatre

North Coast Repertory Theatre presents Richard Dreyfuss in A Benefit Reading of: The Soap Myth. More than a half-century after WW II, a young investigative reporter finds herself caught between numerous versions of the same story as she befriends a Holocaust survivor (Richard Dreyfuss) on a crusade about the atrocity of “soap” – did the Nazis make soap from the corpses of murdered Jews? Played out against the backdrop of deadline reporting and journalistic integrity, the critically acclaimed The Soap Myth by Jeff Cohen questions who has the right to write history—those people who have lived it and remember it, those who study and protect it, or those who would seek to distort its very existence? And finally, what is our responsibility once we know the truth?

The Soap Myth will play January 24 and 25, 2022 at 7:30pm at North Coast Repertory Theatre: 987 Lomas Santa Fe Drive Solana Beach, CA 92075. Tickets are $100 ($80 is a tax deduction) To purchase tickets call 858-481-1055 or visit theirr website.

There will be a talkback after each performance. East Coast Cluster selected as one of the UK’s first two carbon capture and storage projects

The East Coast Cluster can play a critical role in the UK Government’s levelling up ambition, supporting thousands of jobs and investing in local communities.

  • Decision by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) is a major step in delivering the UK’s ambition of the first net zero industrial cluster by 2040.
  • A collaboration between Northern Endurance Partnership, Net Zero Teesside and Zero Carbon Humber, the East Coast Cluster aims to remove nearly 50% of all UK Industrial cluster CO2 emissions.
  • By deploying CCUS across the Humber and Teesside, the East Coast Cluster aims to create and support an average of 25,000 jobs per year between 2023 and 2050.

The East Coast Cluster (ECC) has been named as one of the UK’s first carbon capture, usage and storage clusters following a successful bid to the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

The ECC was named as a “Track-1” cluster, putting it on course for deployment by the mid-2020s.

The successful bid, led on behalf of the ECC by the Northern Endurance Partnership, is a major step towards achieving the UK government’s world-leading ambition to establish the first ‘net zero’ carbon industrial cluster in the UK by 2040. It also represents a significant boost for the industrial heartlands of Teesside and the Humber.

“The East Coast Cluster can play a critical role in the UK Government’s levelling up ambition, supporting thousands of jobs and investing in local communities. Teesside and the Humber were once the industrial heart of the UK. Today’s announcement paves the way for them to become the green heart of the country’s energy transition, shepherding in the next generation of industry and ways of working.”

Louise Kingham, senior vice president, Europe & head of country, UK

The East Coast Cluster will be vital for supporting low-carbon industry and power projects across the region, including those in Net Zero Teesside and Zero Carbon Humber, two of the country’s leading industrial decarbonisation proposals.

Once operational, the cluster has the potential to transport and securely store nearly 50% of all UK industrial cluster CO2 emissions – up to 27 million tonnes of CO2 emissions a year by 2030.

The project aims to create and support an average of 25,000 jobs per year between 2023 and 2050, with approximately 41,000 jobs at the project’s peak in 2026. These skilled jobs in exciting new industries, including industrial carbon capture, low-carbon hydrogen production, negative emissions power, and power with carbon capture, can play an important part of levelling up in the UK.

Andy Lane, MD of Northern Endurance Partnership, said: “Today is a significant milestone on our country’s journey to net zero emissions by 2050. We are delighted that the East Coast Cluster has been selected and we will look forward to delivering our project, removing up to 50% of the UK’s industrial cluster CO2 emissions, creating tens of thousands of jobs and establishing the UK as a leader in the energy transition”.

Grete Tveit, Senior Vice President for Low Carbon Solutions at Equinor, which is a partner of Zero Carbon Humber, Net Zero Teesside and Northern Endurance Partnership said: “We’re delighted that the East Coast Cluster has reached this milestone. As we mark and celebrate this major step, we look forward to continuing working closely with our partners, local communities, businesses, industry, and academia to deliver this ambitious and world-leading project that will play a major role in levelling up across the country”.

Cordi O’Hara, President of National Grid Ventures, said: “We are incredibly proud to be part of a project that is going to have such a positive impact on the people of the Humber and Teesside. The East Coast Cluster will help to revitalise one of the UK’s most important industrial heartlands, creating tens of thousands of jobs for decades to come. It will also build a solid foundation to establish the Humber and Teesside, as well as the UK, as a globally-competitive climate-friendly hub for industry and innovation.”

Louise Kingham, senior vice president, Europe & head of country, UK at bp said: “The East Coast Cluster can play a critical role in the UK Government’s levelling up ambition, supporting thousands of jobs and investing in local communities. Teesside and the Humber were once the industrial heart of the UK. Today’s announcement paves the way for them to become the green heart of the country’s energy transition, shepherding in the next generation of industry and ways of working.”

Notes to editors

The East Coast Cluster unites the Humber and Teesside with infrastructure to decarbonise industry and establish a platform for economic growth.

The East Coast Cluster is enabled by the Northern Endurance Partnership – a collaboration between bp, Eni, Equinor, National Grid, Shell and Total, with bp leading as operator.

By uniting Net Zero Teesside and Zero Carbon Humber, the East Coast Cluster represents the UK’s biggest opportunity to:

  • Decarbonise industry: transporting and storing almost 50% of the UK’s total industrial cluster emissions.
  • Support levelling-up: creating and supporting an average of 25,000 jobs per year to 2050 and underpinning new low carbon industries in the north of England.
  • Kick-start a hydrogen economy: supporting the creation of low-carbon hydrogen projects to deliver 70% of the UK’s hydrogen target for 2030.
  • Demonstrate global leadership: establishing the Humber and Teesside as a globally competitive low carbon hub for industry and innovation, creating international momentum towards net zero.
