Beyond Snack, the pioneering Kerala banana chips brand from Kerala, continues its mission to revolutionize the snacking landscape with an exciting and innovative product makeover. Beyond Snack is thrilled to unveil the latest addition to its banana chips lineup: Banana Waves. Banana Waves come in two irresistible varieties: Cheesy Jalapeno and Sriracha Delight are a perfect blend of crunch and flavour, creating an unforgettable snacking experience.

Born from a desire to infuse an old favourite with youthful zest, Banana Waves are nothing like traditional banana chips. “In our market research, we recognized the need for an upgrade in the traditional banana chips, aligning them with the preferences of today’s younger consumers, explains Manas Madhu, Co-Founder of Beyond Snack. “Our quest was to reimagine this classic into something vibrant, exciting, and irresistibly contemporary,” remarked Manas.

Banana Waves boast a mesmerizing, wave-like form that breaks away from the conventions of the ordinary. “The journey from a traditional snack to Banana Waves has been driven by the desire to create a unique snacking experience that resonates with the younger audience”, Said Co-founder Jyoti Rajguru. Designed to be distinctly different from traditional banana chips, Banana Waves boast a trendsetting wave-like shape, promising a crunchier bite and a palate enriched with a medley of exotic flavours with continental undertones.

The Cheesy Jalapeno variety combines the richness of cheese with the thrilling kick of jalapeno, harmonizing perfectly with the new wavy structure. The Sriracha Delight variant offers a symphony of bold and spicy notes that dance delightfully on the taste buds, amplified by the extraordinary texture.

Beyond Snack’s commitment to innovation extends to its packaging as well. A vivid illustration of a giant Banana octopus generating waves symbolizes the exhilaration contained within each bag. Gautam Raghuraman, Co-Founder of Beyond Snack, said, “Banana Waves Chips are not just a snack; they are an experience of joy and exhilaration. We wanted to challenge the norms and create a product that ignites excitement from the very first bite.”

Banana Waves are now available across retail outlets in prominent cities such as Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and more. With a robust retail presence and nationwide online availability through prominent platforms, including Amazon, Flipkart, Big Basket, Blinkit, Swiggy, and Zepto, consumers across India can embrace the wavy snacking revolution. Both the new variants are priced affordably at Rs. 50 for a 65g pack.

“We wanted to redefine banana chips while retaining the wholesome goodness that our customers expect from us. The wave-like texture and the exotic flavours provide a more engaging experience that we believe our customers will love,” Gautam added.

Worldreader Honored with Prestigious International Literacy Prize by The Library of Congress

The Library of Congress (LOC) announced today that Worldreader won the 2023 Literacy Award in recognition of our work in getting children reading.

On  International Literacy Day, the LOC Awards Program awarded three organizations for their outstanding contribution to expanding literacy and promoting reading. The Program honors nonprofit organizations in three major prize categories – the David M. Rubenstein Prize, the American Prize, and the International Prize. The Program recognized 15 additional organizations for their implementation of successful practices in literacy promotion.

International nonprofit Worldreader, which supports readers in over 100 countries, has been awarded the International Prize, reserved for organizations based either inside or outside the United States for their significant and measurable contribution to increasing literacy levels internationally.

“We’re thrilled and honored to receive this prestigious award from one of the world’s leading cultural and literacy organizations,” said Rebecca Chandler Leege, CEO of Worldreader. “From communities in the Peruvian Andes to Indian classrooms and homes across Africa, it takes a village to get a child reading. We want to thank the partners, supporters, parents, caregivers, and educators who day in and out are striving to get more children reading across the world.”

The Program’s selection criteria include innovation, sustainability, replicability, evidence-based solutions, and measurable outcomes. Worldreader has provided reading opportunities to children in under-resourced communities for more than 12 years and supported over 22 million readers across the world. Our complete digital reading experience BookSmart is available anytime, anywhere, at the touch of a finger to improve children’s reading comprehension, help them learn valuable social-emotional skills, and become more digitally literate. Because reading early and often improves a child’s chance at a happy, fulfilled life, our reader data is continuously monitored and assessed to evaluate reading behavior and content indicators such as number of readers, time spent reading, and number of books or learning activities completed.

Worldreader’s community-based programs have been replicated and scaled in different geographies following our unique ABCDE model and Theory of Change to achieve long-term impact in three key areas of a child’s life – educational outcomes, emotional intelligence, and earning potential.

Worldreader will be awarded $50,000 through the LOC Literacy Awards Program, which will be used to empower children aged 3-12 and their families to have equitable access to reading, improve their daily reading habits, and build a better world through reading.

New Social Network Pitchel Will Make Connection Between Startups And Investors Easier

Lack of proper funding is one of the challenges that many startups face on their growth journey. The process of finding investors can be long and complicated, and startups can miss out on precious time and the moment to expand and rise. Very soon, the Pitchel app will be launched to connect startups looking for funding and investors willing to invest in a promising project.

With Pitchel, each startup in its early or mid-stage can present itself to a wide audience of interested people using a convenient and easy-to-understand video format. All you need to join the app is a name, email and a secure password or an existing Google or AppleID account. After registration, each user gets access to open and efficient interaction between startups and investors on the Pitchel platform.

Startup owners already have the opportunity to join Pitchel before the official launch of the platform. This is the stage where anyone can maximize their creativity to present the value and key ideas of the startup to investors and stand out from the crowd. Registered investors watch the videos in the Pitchel feed and select the most suitable projects, after which they can contact the startup’s representatives directly on the platform and clarify the necessary information.

Pitchel has key features that make collaboration on the platform unique, simple and efficient.

Personalized experience. Everyone who joins Pitchel can customize the news feed according to their interests and goals.
