जब मां हो डायबिटीज से पीडित
यदि महिला डायबिटीज से पीडित है तो उस स्थिति में गर्भस्थ शिशु और मां दोनों के लिए खतरे की बात होती है। ऐसे में गर्भपात की आशंका बढ़ जाती है। यदि गर्भ में बच्चा पूर्ण विकसित हो जाता है तो प्रसव के दौरान बच्चों का आकार सामान्य से बड़ा होने की स्थिति में सर्जरी ही डिलीवरी का एकमात्र विकल्प होता है। बच्चे में जन्मगत विकृतियां हो सकती हैं और मां व बच्चे को संक्रमण होने का खतरा भी रहता है।
डॉ सागरिका अग्रवाल आईवीएफ एक्सपर्ट इंदिरा आईवीएफ हॉस्पिटल के अनुसार अधिकांश विशेषज्ञ एक पीढ़ी से दूसरी पीढ़ी में डायबिटीज फैलने का प्रमुख कारण जेेेस्टेशनल डायबिटीज (गर्भावस्था के दौरान होने वाला डायबिटीज) को मानते रहे हैं। दरअसल, सामान्य महिलाओं, जिन्हें डायबिटीज नहीं होती, उन महिलाओं में से भी 15 से 17 फीसदी को गर्भधारण करने के बाद डायबिटीज हो जाती है। इसके अलावा ‘जेस्टेशनल डायबिटीज’ की चपेट में आई महिलाओं में से 10-20 फीसदी महिलाएं ऐसी होती हैं, जिन्हें आगामी पांच से 10 साल में डायबिटीज हो जाती है। नई जनरेशन को डायबिटीज से बचाने के लिए जेस्टेशनल डायबिटीज को नियंत्रित करना बेहद जरूरी है।
अपने देश में यह बीमारी खानपान, जेनेटिक और हमारे इंटरनल आर्गन्स में फैट की वजह से होती है। गर्भवती महिलाओं को ग्लूकोज पिलाने के दो घंटे बाद ओजीटीटी(ओरल ग्लूकोज टॉलरेंस टेस्ट) किया जाता है, ताकि जेस्टेशनल डायबिटीज का पता चल सके। यह जांच प्राय: गर्भावस्था के 24 से 28 हफ्तों के बीच होती है: दो हफ्ते बाद पुन: शुगर की जांच की जाती है। इस दौरान 10 फीसदी अन्य महिलाओं में जेस्टेशनल डायबिटीज ठीक नहीं हुई थी। इन महिलाओं को इंसुलिन देकर बीमारी कंट्रोल कर ली जाती है। ऐसा कर मां के साथ ही उनके शिशु को भी इस बीमारी के खतरे से बचाया जा सकता है।
गर्भावस्था में इंसुलिन का असंतुलित स्तर खतरनाक
डायबिटीज के टाइप 1 में इंसुलिन का स्तर कम हो जाता है और टाइप 2 में इंसुलिन रेजिस्टेंस हो जाता है व दोनों में ही इंसुलिन का इंजेक्शन लेना जरूरी होता है। इससे शरीर में ग्लूकोज का स्तर सामान्य बना रहता है। गर्भधारण करने के लिए इंसुलिन के एक न्यूनतम स्तर की आवश्यकता होती है और टाइप 1 डायबिटीज की स्थिति में इंसुलिन का उत्पादन करने वाली कोशिकाएं नष्ट हो जाती हैं। इस स्थिति में गर्भधारण करना मां और बच्चे दोनों के लिए खतरा हो सकता है। दोनों की सेहत पर इसका विपरीत प्रभाव पड़ता है। वहीं दूसरी ओर टाइप 2 डायबिटीज में शरीर रक्तधाराओं में ग्लूकोज के स्तर को सामान्य बनाए नहीं रख पाता, क्योंकि शरीर में पर्याप्त मात्रा में इंसुलिन का निर्माण नहीं हो पाता। इस स्थिति से निपटने के लिए आहार में परिवर्तन किया जा सकता है और नियमित रूप से व्यायाम का अभ्यास करने से भी इंसुलिन के स्तर को सामान्य बनाया जा सकता है।
यदि डायबिटीज में होती हैं प्रेग्नेंट

गर्भावस्था के पहले 12वें हफ्ते में अधिकांश महिलाओं को अतिरिक्त 300 कैलोरी की आवश्यकता हर दिन होती है। साथ ही साथ प्रोटीन की मात्रा में भी पर्याप्त वृद्धि करनी होती है। खुद को सक्रिय बनाए रखना इस दौरान काफी अहम होता है। स्वीमिंग, वॉकिंग या साइकलिंग जैसे कार्डियोवेस्कुलर एक्सरसाइज इस दौरान फिट रहने में मदद करते हैं, लेकिन किसी भी एक्टिविटी को शुरू करने से पहले डॉक्टर की सलाह अवश्य लें। साथ ही कुछ छोटी-छोटी आदतों में बदलाव करके भी इस दौरान स्वस्थ रहा जा सकता है, जैसे हर जगह गाड़ी चलाकर जाने की बजाय थोड़ा पैदल चलने की आदत डालें, लंबे समय तक बैठकर या लेटकर टीवी देखने या कंप्यूटर पर काम करने से बचें।
