The Way to Happiness Association of Tennessee Helps Bring Hope

The Way to Happiness, a book written by humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard in the early 1980s, is comprised of 21 precepts, each one predicated on the fact that one’s survival depends on the survival of others—and that without the survival of others, neither joy nor happiness are attainable.

In the three decades since it was authored, more than 115 million copies of the book passed hand to hand, thus inspiring the international movement which is spreading throughout Tennessee and the southern United States.

The Way to Happiness Association of Tennessee (TWTH-TN) remained active virtually since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, spreading positive audio-visual messages. And, once it was safe, volunteers took to the streets and parks of Nashville and surrounding communities to continue distributing booklets to help people learn the concepts contained within the common-sense moral code and uplift those in need.

Volunteers found that “people gravitate toward the booklet which creates positivity in a world so often filled with hate.”

TWTH-TN is making a true impact across Tennessee and reaching other parts of the world. To learn more about the program, or to order copies of The Way to Happiness booklet, visit twthtn.org.

Association Launches 2022 Selling Medicare Insurance Video Package

A series of 72 videos designed to help agents selling Medicare insurance solutions has been launched by the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance.

“Many of the nation’s leading Medicare sales and lead generation experts have spoken at the Association’s National Medicare Sales Summits,” states Jesse Slome, director of the Medicare advocacy organization. “We filmed their talks and are making a comprehensive package of 72 videos available.”

The 2022 Selling Medicare Insurance video package is designed for newer agents looking to hear what works for top insurance agents. “There is value for those who are selling Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement insurance and drug plans,” Slome adds.

Included in the package is the Tips From The Top series of interviews with leading Medicare insurance agents attending the 2021 National Medicare Sales Summit in Chicago. “There are very short and focused interviews where I get these top professionals to share how they get more prospects and close more sales,” Slome explains.

“The national Medicare Sales Summits were held in conjunction with our national industry conference,” Slome notes. “Top industry experts attending the national event agreed to come in a day early to speak to agents. We filmed these sessions recognizing that many agents were not able to attend the in-person events.”

Videos can be watched online via any device with an Internet connection. Viewers will see the speaker as well as any visual presentations shared as part of their presentation.

The American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance (AAMSI) advocates for the importance of educated planning. AAMSI supports insurance professionals who market Medicare insurance solutions.

To access information regarding the 2022 video package, go to www.medicaresupp.org/medicare-supplement-sales-training-videos/. Agents can access three of the videos via the association website to gauge value. Visit the website www.medicaresupp.org.

Association Reports That Disabled Individuals Can Purchase Long-Term Care Insurance

Individuals with disabilities or disabled car placards may be able to qualify for long-term care insurance according to the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance.

“This is a question frequently posed to us by consumers and little information exists,” shares Jesse Slome, director of the long-term care insurance organization. “Many disabling conditions will prevent someone from health qualifying for this protection. But not all.”

Slome delivered a message to long-term care insurance professionals as part of the organization’s Long-Term Care Awareness Month educational campaign. “We just posted some information on our website providing information we hope will help consumers better understand the issue and their options,” Slome noted.

“There are grades of disabilities and there are options available for consumers,” Slome acknowledged. “For example, we have heard of people who live in snowy areas requesting a disability placard simply to make parking easier. They don’t have a mobility issue and an insurer would likely understand the issue and accept this as a condition.”

In addition to long-term care insurance, Slome encouraged the agents to consider short-term care policies as a viable option for those with some disabilities. “These policies can be far easier to health qualify for and are especially ideal when you know the individual cannot qualify for LTC,” the expert cited.

Available in some 40 states, short-term care insurance policies can pay for care at home, in assisted living and even in skilled nursing facilities. “When you know how to design a policy, it can be of enormous value and quite an affordable option today,” Slome advised the agent audience. “I believe that this is an especially attractive option for women on their own.”

The American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance (AALTCI) advocates for the importance of planning and supports insurance professionals who market both traditional and hybrid LTC solutions. To obtain long-term care insurance costs from a long-term care insurance specialist call the organization at 818-597-3227 or visit their website www.aaltci.org.
