PM’s launch of Fit India Movement gave us a clear message that we should eat healthy, stay fit: Olympian Arif Khan during ‘Meet The Champions’ in Kashmir

With a rousing welcome by students, son of the idyllic valley and star Winter Olympian of the nation, Arif Mohammad Khan actively kicked off the unique campaign- ‘Meet The Champions’ at Government SP Model Higher Secondary School in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir on Friday.

Talking about this unique initiative of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi which has today completed its 17th edition with nearly 200 students in the oldest school of picturesque valley, the Indian Alpine Skier said, “The day when our Hon’ble Prime Minister launched the Fit India campaign, it was a clear indication for every Indian that he wants each one of us to have proper diet regularly and make fitness a part of our daily life.”

Stressing on the intake of a balanced diet, Arif added “Santulit Aahar (balance diet) doesn’t mean you stop going to the nearby café but it’s just that anything you eat should be eaten in a balanced way.”

Meanwhile, the event also witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of students who interacted with zeal and curiosity asking many questions related to  diet and fitness, challenges they face in the valley, ways to balance sports and academics etc. One of the students of SP HSS asked, “What infrastructural changes do you want to have so that Kashmir gets more international skiers?”

“There were times when I was about to give up due to different issues and circumstances, but I never did that since I was highly focused on what I wanted. So, do what you love to do and maintain a healthy lifestyle but never give up,” replied the country’s sole representative to the Beijing Winter Olympics.

Notably, he also encouraged the students to eat and understand how rich Kashmir is in terms of organic food, fresh fruits and its culinary & cuisines which carries a lot of nutrients in it. “We actually should understand how fortunate we all are in the valley where our regular, homely meals have so much of nutrition, we have orchards with different fruits and we still breathe fresh air. So, we are surrounded with everything we need to stay fit,” Arif supplemented.

This unique initiative is being organized jointly by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and the Ministry of Education and is part of the government’s ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

Book Launch: Shawn Nowotnik’s Habits of Successful People Motivates You to Redefine Your Narrative

A Collection of Celebrity and Influential Leaders’ Insights on How Changes in Simple Habits Can Transform Your Life

CHICAGOMay 3, 2022PRLog — Top-selling author and Chicago native, Shawn Nowotnik, will release his third book, Habits of Successful People, on May 13 and host his national book launch party locally and in person at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, IL. In his most personal work to date, Nowotnik’s third book is a master class in habits and success. It skips the ra-ra and helps the reader take control of their life.

What makes this book unique? It’s based on Mr. Nowotnik’s own story of working during the week as a welder in a steel factory to flying out to Hollywood each weekend to pitch his entertainment agency. Along his journey, he asked Hollywood’s most influential people for valued perspectives on their habits of success. In time, Nowotnik (utilizing these habits) became a Grammy member, marketed films for all seven of the big film studios, and became a celebrity liaison.

Those same celebrity insights later proved to be critical and what he’d rely on to help him recover from the devastating loss of his son to suicide. He explained, “I was forced to reevaluate my own narrative when I lost my son. My life radically changed from having incredible Hollywood moments to having it all shattered. It was their prized habits that helped me to find my true path – as a mental health therapist and author.”

Habits of Successful People is packed with a 20-year collection of research and illuminating perspectives he gained from the biggest names in Hollywood, sports, and business. He shares how leveraging your internal capabilities, life experiences, and consistent habits are fundamental to having a successful and meaningful life. Nowotnik firmly believes, “Greatness and success are completely within everyone’s reach.”

He added, “When I walked away from everything in Los Angeles, there was a lot of uncertainty about my life. In becoming a mental health therapist, I realized it was ultimately my true calling. That’s when I knew the perspectives these incredible people imparted on me could be a real game-changer in other’s lives…and the reason why I wrote the book.”

Then, he boiled it down to what’s real. “Honestly, the fear of change is always worse than the reality of the task that lays before us. Growth requires patience, so it’s not always easy to start. With patience, you can persevere. As basic as it sounds, when you choose to change your habits, there is no doubt you can change your life.”

Habits of Successful People illustrates that there is nothing stopping you from succeeding: no matter who you are, where you come from, or how others may view you today. The only question is what are you waiting for?

To celebrate, Mr. Nowotnik is launching his national book tour locally and in person at the Arcada Theatre’s Studio 64 in St. Charles, IL on May 13 from 6 – 10 pm. Experience a meet-and-greet with the author along with a book discussion and signing. Because this is a free event, an RSVP is not required but recommended. Simply visit

HUGO BOSS to launch Resale Platform “HUGO BOSS Pre-Loved” as part of commitment to circularity

HUGO BOSS is set to invite customers to buy pre-owned items as they would new, with the launch of a premium resale platform in the third quarter of 2022. HUGO BOSS Pre-Loved will offer a curated assortment of clothing that has been traded in by existing customers. The initiative supports HUGO BOSS’ wide-ranging sustainability efforts as part of its CLAIM 5 strategy.

A simple online process will allow customers to return used items to HUGO BOSS in exchange for credit that can be spent online, on new or pre-owned items, or in store. Once fully quality checked, the pre-owned products will become part of a curated second-hand assortment for sale on HUGO BOSS Pre-Loved, ready to begin a second life in a new wardrobe. The service will initially feature clothing, with accessories planned to be added in the future.

The resale service will be operated by FAUME, a premium provider offering a convenient and seamless online trade-in experience, and will be accessible through the online store. HUGO BOSS Pre-Loved will be launched in France, with the platform planned to expand to Germany, the UK, and the U.S. in 2025.

Globally, resale is a fast-growing market that reduces the environmental impact of the fashion industry, and already represents a market volume of USD 30-40 billion worldwide. Buying second-hand saves an average of 44% of CO2 emissions when compared to buying new, while the circular nature of the resale business helps to reduce clothing waste.

Care & repair service and CIRCULAR products to complement resale

In another step to further extend the lifecycle of its products, HUGO BOSS will launch a care and repair service in selected German stores later this year, with more key markets to follow. The service will cover the repair of suits, jeans, shoes, jersey products, and leather goods, helping to ensure that these items can be enjoyed by consumers even longer.

“The high quality of our products allows them to have several lives, and our entry into the growing resale market is a natural step for us as a company,” says Heiko Schäfer, Chief Operating Officer of HUGO BOSS. “HUGO BOSS Pre-Loved will support our move towards a circular business model, while our repair service will allow customers to wear their favorite pieces for even longer and reduce consumption of scarce resources.”

The new initiatives move HUGO BOSS closer towards its sustainability ambitions, which include the goal that eight out of ten products are circular by 2030. Extensive circular design trainings have already taken place within the design teams at the company, in order to incorporate the topic at the very first point of product development.

The HUGO BOSS CIRCULAR Product Policy, which includes detailed guidelines for circular design and the strict criteria for circular products, will be published by the end of April 2022, creating even more transparency around this topic. A CIRCULAR product at HUGO BOSS must meet three requirements: to be made from renewable or recycled materials, fully recyclable, and designed for longevity.

The company has made a clear commitment to limiting its resource consumption wherever possible, and the strategic goal of an end-to-end circular business model is firmly within its sights.
