HUB.ID Summit returns, recalibrating Indonesia’s Tech Investment
Bali, ID, Sept 22, 2023 – (ACN Newswire) – The HUB.ID Summit, a keynote event in the HUB.ID program for Indonesian start-ups, was held in Nusa Dua, Bali on September 15-16, bringing 80 digital startups and 80 global venture capitals together with the aim of matching investors with early-stage digital startups. HUB.ID is a Kominfo (Ministry of Communication & Informatics) program which focuses on startups in fintech, agritech/fisheries, healthtech, SME enablement and logistics, and ESG-related sectors.
More than 500 people attended the HUB.ID Summit 2023, which included panel discussions, 1-on-1 business matchmaking, and a Networking Gala Dinner. Investors hailed not only from Indonesia, but from countries such as Japan, Singapore, South Korea, India, Germany, the UK, and US. Over 1,500 business meetings were scheduled during the 2-day event, demonstrating a positive trend in investment potential for digital startups in Indonesia.
This year, HUB.ID Summit collaborated with the Nexticorn Foundation to facilitate more business meetings between startups and venture capital firms. HUB.ID Summit x Nexticorn 2023 is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Communication and Informatics and the Nexticorn Foundation to support the digital startup ecosystem, foster partnerships, and networks between early-, growth-, and later-stage startups with global venture capitals.
This year’s Summit adopted the theme “Recalibrating the Industry: Indonesia’s Tech Investment Moving Forward,” aiming to analyze changes in market behavior post-pandemic and the tech winter, which have affected the focus of digital startups on product development and venture capital investments. These changes are recalibrating market strategies for growth in Indonesia’s digital startup ecosystem.
Over two days, the early-stage digital startups and venture capitals participated in various events, including panel discussions featuring renowned speakers and business matchmaking sessions, expected to foster collaborations and investments after the Summit concludes. On day one, the panel featured Christopher Madiam (CEO & Co-founder of Sociolla), Hero Choudhary (Managing Partner of Beenext), Yoshua Tanu (Jago Coffee Founder) and was moderated by Willis Wee (CEO & Co-founder of Tech in Asia).
On the second day, the panel discussion included Eddy Danusaputro (Chairman of AMVESINDO), Ankur Vohra (Vice President L Catterton Asia), moderated by Donald Wihardja (Nexticorn Board). Later, Kevin Sugiarto (Senior Vice President Product Privy), Ardhanti Nurwidya (Head Public Policy and Government Relation GOTO), Doddi Priyambodo (Solutions Consultant at Google/Cloudmile) and Edy Sulistyo (CEO Everywhere.id) were moderated by Anugrah Pratama (Partner at EY-Parthenon Indonesia).
I Nyoman Adiarna (Director of Digital Economy, Directorate General of Informatics Application, Kominfo) stated, “The technology startup landscape in Indonesia has seen rapid and exciting developments in recent years. Indonesia now boasts hundreds of startups across various sectors, including e-commerce, fintech, edtech, healthtech, and agritech, among others. The ministry continues to support startups to grow and access funding, including through events like HUB.ID Summit.”

The OSCR360 Team Returns from Indianapolis School Safety and Emergency Preparedness Conference
INDIANAPOLIS – Aug. 8, 2023 – PRLog — L-Tron’s OSCR360 team has returned from the 2023 National Association for School Resource Officers (NASRO) National School Safety Conference. Held at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis, the NASRO Conference was geared at equipping school resource officers with the knowledge and tools they need to prepare for an emergency and to provide a safe campus environment.
The conference included several compelling keynote presentations, NASRO certification courses, breakout educational sessions, networking events, and vendor exhibits. L-Tron’s Trevor DiMarco and Julianne Pangal were available June 28-29 to demo the OSCR360 for Emergency Preparedness.
OSCR360 was well-received by both school resource officers and law enforcement agencies. Attendees recognized the value in utilizing OSCR360 in their schools, including the system’s affordability, ease of use, and efficiency. Many potential users also liked how OSCR360 could be shared interdepartmentally or with neighboring jurisdictions for school documentation, officer training, and for crime/crash investigations. Additionally, OSCR360 can be installed within in-car police computers for patrol officers to review during their downtime or in case they need to respond to an emergency at a local school.

“Listen To This” returns to Dave Bryant’s “TTs” exploring the early electric period of Miles Davis
“Third Thursdays” with Dave Bryant and Friends: a monthly harmolodic jazz series, continues in July with “Listen To This” playing the music of Miles Davis from his early electric period 1968-1975.
“Listen To This” playing the music of Miles Davis.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – June 23, 2023 – PRLog — For the past year, improvising keyboardist Dave Bryant, curator and host of the “Third Thursdays” series of monthly harmolodic jazz concerts, has also been involved with the “Listen To This” musical project, which explores the rich musical legacy of Miles Davis, particularly from his early electric period 1968-1975. The project includes founder Jerome Deupree of Morphine and Either/Orchestra (drums), Russ Gershon of Either/Orchestra (woodwinds, organ), Rick Barry of Bim Skala Bim and Lookie Lookie (percussion)
“Listen To This” appeared at “Third Thursdays” last May 2022, and since then the group has been performing in local and greater New England venues. As one audience member so rightly put it: “Listen To This fills the room with hot blue sparks and a primeval, funked-up vibe, the element that pushes a good show to greatness . . . a brilliant flash of improvisation, beyond genre, the ghost of a ghost who shows up out of nowhere and just hangs out. . . .”
About the “Listen To This” project, Bryant notes “It’s been remarkably gratifying to see the Listen To This group, so ably founded by Jerome and Russ, continue from its Third Thursdays debut to take on a life of its own. This is a band composed of very special individuals with a unique chemistry.”
This is the fourth concert in year two of the “Third Thursdays” series. This second year (running from April 2023-March 2024) will continue to periodically feature artists who are also former Ornette Coleman colleagues. The ultimate goal of “Third Thursdays” is to share experiences of free jazz played using Coleman’s unique approach. Each month’s concert is a totally different experience, catapulting performers—and their listeners—out of their usual comfort zone with ear-catching transcendent musical moments.
The monthly “Third Thursdays” performances and interviews have been documented at dbryantmusic.com/

Pets Are Wonderful Support (PAWS) NY is thrilled to once again host Barks & Blooms, an annual spring benefit fundraiser supporting the organization’s mission of helping people by helping pets. This year’s event is sponsored by Fur-Ever Friend Corporate Sponsor PetPlate.
PAWS NY is dedicated to doing everything possible to keep our city’s most vulnerable residents together with their pets. By providing volunteer pet care assistance to low-income older adults and those living with illness or disability, PAWS NY’s programs keep pets in their homes while protecting and promoting the bond that is so physically and emotionally valuable to their clients. The event, which will include drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and a silent auction, will take place on Tuesday, April 25, from 6:30-9:00pm, at the Monarch Rooftop at 71 W. 35th Street in Midtown Manhattan. “We are so grateful for all our partners, volunteers, and supporters, and we can’t wait to celebrate again with them this spring,” said Rachel Herman, Founder and Executive Director of PAWS NY. “The beautiful Monarch Rooftop will once again be the backdrop for Barks & Blooms, our annual fundraiser where we honor the work we’ve done over the past year and look ahead to continued growth in the future.”
PAWS NY is also thrilled to have a robust silent auction as part of the fundraising event, featuring items such as tickets to a taping of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen; a two-night stay at a Loews Hotel; VIP tickets to a taping of The Daily Show; pet photo sessions with photographer Kara Mergl; a gift package from Brooklyn Candle Studio; tickets to Sleep No More; a $500 gift card and private shopping party at Veronica Beard; tickets to an American Ballet Theatre performance; a three-month Equinox membership; tickets to New York City sporting events; and much more.
