ENIT (Italian National Tourism Board) along with its airline partner Turkish Airlines jointly organized an educational tour for the journalists from the 27th September, 2016 until the 04th October, 2016 to explore and promote the fascinating town of Courmayeur, the Aosta Valley and the serene lake Como.

On arriving at Turin Airport, the journalists drove down to the mountain village of Courmayeur which is at the foot of Mont Blanc. Courmayeur is the cradle of mountaineering, a romantic village nestled in the Alps. The most exceptional character of Courmayeur is its unique location: positioned among Italy, France and Switzerland, it represents the essence of the Italian Way of life. It is indeed a glamourous destination as there is always something to enjoy in this fascinating town. This town offers the main highlight of Skyway Monte Bianco – the new Mont Blanc Cable car which takes you to the closest place to the Mont Blanc Summit which offers circular and transparent cabins which rotate to guarantee a 360 degree view. There are three stations, departing from Courmayeur and arriving at Punta Helbronner – 3,462 metres (11,358 feet). On the top there’s a circular terrace 14 metres (46 feet) in diameter, 3 bars, 3 restaurants, 120 place cinema/conference hall as well as a botanical garden, crystals exibition, commercial areas, wide museum area and thematic communication areas. Besides Courmayeur, the journalists also visited the main town of Aosta to have a look at the Roman monuments. Followed by a guided visit to the Fortress of Bard where the movie the Avengers, the Age of Ultron was shot. At Cogne, another popular town, the journalist had the opportunity to experience the open air Thermal spa.

At Lake Como, the journalist stayed at The CastaDiva Resort & Spa which is a five-star luxury resort and is a 45 minutes drive from Milan Malpensa Airport.
