Watkins Architect has announced details regarding the recent completion of a new multi-tenant commercial space. The local architecture firm, based in Fleetwood, PA, provided design services for the building.
The 12,000 square foot, one and a half story building in Boyertown primarily serves as the home of Ellixson’s Tae Kwon Do Academy. The building was designed by Watkins Architect as a multi-tenant space; currently, the building includes tenant fit out for the martial arts school. Ellixson’s features a main gym/training area, as well as an entry/reception area. The tae kwon do school is also outfitted with a kids activity room, lounge area and locker room in addition to showers, offices and a conference room.
Photos of the building’s interior and exterior, published by Watkins Architect , depict Ellixson’s Tae Kwon Do Academy as a large martial arts school already up-and-running with the capability of accommodating large numbers of students for classes and special events. The largest area of the school is devoted to the main gym/training area. The sprawling, multi-colored mat on which martial arts exercises are practiced and performed is surrounded by various equipment including balance boards, punching/kicking bags, and dummies to use in the students’ training. Photographs of other rooms, some situated above the main training area, show a versatile gathering space with tables and chairs as well as smaller rooms with exercise equipment. Ellixson’s Tae Kwon Do Academy runs tae kwon do classes for children from 3-14 and for teens/adults. Kickboxing classes are also available.
