SCED to check out Singapore

The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Algernon Yau, will leave for a check out to Singapore tomorrow (August 31) afternoon to create closer ties in between the 2 locations.
Throughout the journey, Mr Yau will consult with senior authorities and company agents to upgrade them on Hong Kong’s newest financial and trade advancements. He will likewise officiate at a gala supper to mark the 30th anniversary of the facility of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Singapore and promote the benefits of Hong Kong.
Mr Yau will then continue to Beijing on September 2 and go back to Hong Kong on September 3. The Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Dr Bernard Chan, will be the Acting Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development throughout Mr Yau’s lack.
