Tenders welcomed for Improvement to So Kwun Po Interchange

The Civil Engineering and Development Department today (November 14) gazetted a notification to welcome tenders for the agreement for Improvement to So Kwun Po Interchange (Contract No. ND/2024/11). The closing time for the tender is midday on January 9, 2026 (Friday).
The works generally consist of:
- building and construction of north-south link roadway of about 700 metres linking Pak Wo Road and San Wan Road;
- restoration of areas of So Kwun Po Road near North District Park;
- widening of the north-western slip roadway from So Kwun Po Road to San Wan Road;
- restoration and adjustment of So Kwun Po Road in between Kai Leng Roundabout and Pak Wo Road;
- enhancement operates at the junction of San Wan Road and the proposed north-south link roadway;
- enhancement operates at the junction of Pak Wo Road therefore Kwun Po Road;
- building of a lift and a staircase connecting San Wan Road and raised So Kwun Po Road;
- building of a pedestrian train throughout So Kwun Po Road near Pak Wo Road;
- reprovision of the roller skating rink within North District Park impacted by the roadway works; and
- associated works consisting of geotechnical, landscape, drain, water, setup of sound barriers, electrical and mechanical, ecological mitigations, street lighting and energies works, along with setup of street furnishings and traffic help.
The works are arranged to start in June 2026 and will take about 54 months to finish.
The Civil Engineering and Development Department has actually commissioned WSP (Asia) Limited to create and monitor the works. Interested specialists can download the tender types and other details from the e-Tendering System (e-TS). Tenderers need to send tenders in electronic format through the e-TS.
