The delegation of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, led by the Financial Secretary, Mr Paul Chan, today (October 24) concluded its three-day check out to Beijing and Hebei.

In the early morning, the delegation went to the Xiong’an Urban Computing (Supercomputing Cloud) Center to discover how the Xiong’an New Area is improving metropolitan advancement and management through digitalisation. They then visited the Zhongguancun Science Park in Xiong’an, where they were informed on the park’s total preparation and advancement, functional management, financial investment promo methods and the status of business settlement.

The delegation was likewise welcomed to participate in a workshop. Mr Chan said that under the “one country, two systems” structure, Hong Kong’s global benefits – including its capital, skill and expert services – can provide strong assistance to the markets and business of both the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center and the Xiong’an New Area as they broaden worldwide. He included that there is fantastic prospective for shared knowing, exchange and collective advancement in locations such as financing, development and innovation, trade and metropolitan management.

In the afternoon, the Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Work Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, Mr Xia Baolong, consulted with Mr Chan and other delegation authorities in Beijing.
