Deadly traffic mishap in Tsuen Wan

Cops are examining a deadly traffic mishap occurred in Tsuen Wan today (August 5), in which a foreign guy passed away.

At 1.52 pm, an 80-year-old male supposedly felt woozy while driving a taxi into a pick-up/drop-off location at 8 Yeung Uk Road, Tsuen Wan. The taxi suspectedly went out of control and installed the pavement. The taxi tore down a 35-year-old foreign male pedestrian before crashing into a hotel wall.

Sustaining serious leg injuries, the foreign male pedestrian was hurried to Princess Margaret Hospital in unconscious state and was accredited dead at 3.12 pm. The cabby, struggling with chest discomfort and sustaining head and hand injuries, was sent out to Yan Chai Hospital in mindful state.

The cab driver was detained for harmful driving triggering death and is being apprehended for queries.

Examination by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South is underway.
