Updates to “Resource Handbook for Bazaar Application”

***************************************************************

     The Government today (January 25) announced updates on the “Resource Handbook for Bazaar Application”.

     The Environment and Ecology Bureau (EEB) and relevant bureaux/departments (including the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau, the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, the Home Affairs Department, the Housing Department (HD), the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD), the Transport Department, the Fire Services Department, etc) have jointly updated the “Resource Handbook for Bazaar Application” to enable organisations/persons interested in organising bazaars to have an easier grasp of the relevant application procedures and processes involved. The Handbook covers –

  1. how to look for suitable venues, as well as the procedures for application for hiring a government venue (including venues under the management of the HD/Housing Authority, the LCSD and the Lands Department);
  2. a template of bazaar proposal to enable organisations to comprehensively plan for the proposed activities early on;
  3. relevant licences and/or approval required for organising various common bazaar activities and the relevant application methods; and
  4. points to note in the operation stage of the bazaar.

     The Handbook has been uploaded to the EEB website (www.eeb.gov.hk/food/en/press_and_publications/otherinfo/index.html) and the FEHD website (www.fehd.gov.hk/english/licensing/resource_handbook_bazaar_application.html), and will also be available on the websites of other relevant departments in due course.

Updates: AVCLabs Video Enhancer AI Version 2.4.0 Released

 Let’s dive in the new features of the update:

1. Support MP4(H.265), MKV(H.264), MKV(H.265), and MOV(ProRes 422HQ) as the output formats.

AVCLabs Video Enhancer AI supports MP4(H.265), MKV(H.264), MKV(H.265), and MOV(ProRes 422HQ) as the output formats, which means you can get a better quality output video without worrying about the original file format.

2. Add AI Face Blur.

The AI Face Blur function is an important new addition to AVCLabs Video Enhancer AI. It can automatically detect and blur faces in videos, ensuring the privacy of people captured in the footage. The principle behind AI face blur is simple: by analyzing the video frame-by-frame, the software can identify human faces and then apply a blurring effect to them. This ensures that the faces are not easily recognizable, while still preserving the overall quality of the video.

3. Support manually controlling brightness, contrast, and saturation.

AVCLabs Video Enhancer AI supports manually controlling brightness, contrast, and saturation. This allows you to make small adjustments to the video without having to rely on automatic mechanisms that may not always produce the results you desire. In addition, this functionality can help you achieve a more natural look for your videos by allowing you to fine-tune the colors according to your preferences. As a result, your videos will appear more polished and professional.

4. Support cropping video.

Video cropping is a popular way to improve the composition of a video or to focus on a particular subject. AVCLabs Video Enhancer AI now supports cropping videos, making it easy to get the perfect composition for your video. Simply select the area you want to crop and click on the crop button. You can also choose to save the cropped area as a new video file.

     The list of places or organisations that are accepted for issuing recognised vaccination records is set out in the Annex, and will be uploaded to the Government’s COVID-19 thematic website.
