Unique traffic plans for International Football Friendly Match – Hong Kong, China vs Cambodia

The Police revealed today (November 13) that unique traffic plans will be carried out in So Kon Po and Causeway Bay to help with the International Football Friendly Match – Hong Kong, China vs Cambodia, which will be held this evening at the Hong Kong Stadium. The Police desire members of the general public taking a trip to locations based on roadway traffic control to use public transportation as far as possible.
A. Traffic plans before the start of the occasion
Depending upon the crowd and traffic conditions, the following plans will be executed from about 5.30 pm:
Roadway closure

– Caroline Hill Road in between its eastern junction with Leighton Road and Cotton Path;
– Part of the traffic lane of Caroline Hill Road in between Eastern Hospital Road and Cotton Path;
– Westbound Hysan Avenue in between Yun Ping Road and Hoi Ping Road;
– Stadium Path; and
– Lee Garden Road in between Lan Fong Road and Hysan Avenue, other than for green minibuses (GMBs).
Traffic diversions

– Caroline Hill Road in between its western junction with Leighton Road and Stadium Path will be re-routed one method southbound;
– Eastern Hospital Road in between Stadium Path and Tung Lo Wan Road will be re-routed one method northbound;
– Two traffic lanes on Caroline Hill Road in between its western junction with Leighton Road and Link Road will be designated for traffic getting in Caroline Hill Road from Hoi Ping Road;
– Hysan Avenue in between Leighton Road and Hoi Ping Road will be re-routed one method eastbound;
– Two traffic lanes on eastbound Hysan Avenue will be designated for traffic turning right to Hoi Ping Road;
– Vehicles leaving the personal driveway of Lee Garden One need to turn delegated eastbound Hysan Avenue;
– Traffic along Yun Ping Road can not turn delegated westbound Hysan Avenue, and cars will be diverted to Lan Fong Road and Pak Sha Road;
– Traffic along northbound Link Road downhill to northbound Caroline Hill Road might require to turn delegated westbound Leighton Road; and
– Vehicles taking a trip along Lan Fong Road might not be permitted to turn delegated southbound Lee Garden Road, and will be diverted to northbound Lee Garden Road, Foo Ming Street and southbound Percival Street, other than for GMBs.
Traveler drop-off zone

The drop-off zone for taxis and personal automobiles will be set up to set down guests at the places defined listed below:
– Western kerbside of Caroline Hill Road near the Disciplined Service Sports and Recreation Club;
– Northern kerbside of Cotton Path; and
– Southern kerbside (taxi drop-off zone) and northern kerbside (personal cars and truck drop-off zone) of Eastern Hospital Road near the primary entryway of Hong Kong Stadium.
B. Traffic plans upon conclusion of the occasion
Depending upon the crowd and traffic conditions, the following plans will be carried out from about 9.30 pm:

– Eastern Hospital Road in between Caroline Hill Road and Cotton Path;
– Northbound Link Road (downhill), other than for lorries heading for No. 1, 3, 5 and 7 on Link Road;
– Hoi Ping Road;
– Sunning Road, other than for automobiles leaving Lee Garden Three Car Park;
– Cotton Path and Leighton Road (when essential).
Traffic diversions

– Before completion of the occasion, cars leaving the South China Athletic Association parking area might be allowed to turn right at the western exit to northbound Caroline Hill Road;
– Before completion of the occasion, lorries leaving structures on Eastern Hospital Road might be allowed to turn best to northbound Eastern Hospital Road;
– Traffic along westbound Leighton Road can not get in Caroline Hill Road for Link Road, and automobiles will be diverted by means of Wong Nai Chung Road and Broadwood Road; and
– When Leighton Road is closed, traffic along westbound Causeway Road will be diverted through Irving Street; traffic along eastbound Morrison Hill Road will be diverted by means of Canal Road West; traffic along southbound Percival Street need to turn best to westbound Leighton Road; and traffic along southbound Canal Road East can not turn delegated Leighton Road.
C. Other unique plans
Restriction for student chauffeurs

The following roadways will be restricted to all student motorists in between 5pm to 11pm:
– Westbound Leighton Road;
– Percival Street south of Hennessy Road;
– Caroline Hill Road;
– Link Road;
– Stadium Path;
– Cotton Path; and
– Eastern Hospital Road.
Suspension of parking areas

All on-street parking areas on the following roadways will be suspended from 5pm to 11pm:
– Stadium Path;
– Northbound Caroline Hill Road in between Stadium Path and Cotton Path;
– Hoi Ping Road;
– Sunning Road; and
– Eastern Hospital Road.
Constraints on access to/ exit from parking area

Throughout the roadway closure duration, cars in parking lot within the roadway closure location might not be allowed to leave. If essential, all parking area along Caroline Hill Road, Eastern Hospital Road, Stadium Path and Cotton Path will be closed at brief notification.
Throughout the execution of the unique traffic plans, any cars discovered unlawfully parked within the precincts pointed out above will be pulled away without previous caution, and might go through numerous ticketing.
