A meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin is not completely off the table, White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said on Thursday.

“I think the president and the entire administration hopes that one day that can happen again but we want to make sure that there’s a tangible positive outcome out of that meeting”, she said at a news briefing.

Trump said on Wednesday he canceled a planned meeting with Putin because of a lack of progress in diplomatic efforts to end the Ukraine war.
