NEW DELHI: Health ministry Monday introduced an across the country CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation) awareness drive, in the middle of issues about individuals falling ill and passing away due to unexpected heart attack.

The effort will be led by all leading medical organizations.Inaugurating the project, Union health secretary Punya Salila Srivastava stated the vision behind the drive is to guarantee every family, school, workplace, and public area has at least one private trained in this lifesaving method. “Cardiac arrest is one of the leading causes of sudden deaths in India, with nearly 70% of such cases occurring outside hospitals where immediate medical aid is unavailable.
