Public advised to not burn wax, fly sky lanterns or litter

***********************************************************

Attention radio/TV commentators:

Please relay the following at ideal periods:

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) advises members of the general public to keep public locations tidy, safeguard public residential or commercial property; not to burn wax or location lit candle lights on the ground, turf pitches or beaches; not to toss radiance sticks or other things onto trees; and not to fly sky lanterns, when commemorating the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Individuals cluttering at LCSD places (consisting of parks, beaches and barbecue websites) are responsible to a fine of $3,000. The optimum charge for burning wax, tossing items onto trees or flying sky lanterns is a fine of $2,000 and 14 days’ jail time.
