Shaping the Next Wave of Creative Rebels – ifestival 2025 Vision by the Founders

India, Oct. 1 — As the global creative community looks for definitive answers regarding technology, legacy, and the ultimate destination of human craft, the answer arrives from iFestival at JD Institute Delhi.

On October 6th and 7th, 2025, the luxurious Le Meridien Gurgaon will host iFestival, the revolutionary annual design and tech showcase by JD Institute of Fashion Technology.

Under the electrifying theme, ‘The Last Invention,‘ the festival is not just about unveiling new collections; it is opening a decisive new cultural epoch- one where emerging voices are encouraged to be fearless, rebellious, and unapologetic in expressing the future, as explored in this exclusive interview with Founders Mr. Harsh Dalal and Ms. Akshra Dalal.

Q1 : Why iFestival is the only platform for emerging designers to witness the evolution of design and technology firsthand?

Mr. Harsh Dalal: Frankly speaking, we are not here just to teach design and tech, we are here to sculpt and cultivate the minds that refuse to conform.

iFestival is where we challenge the convention that design must be purely commercial. Our aim has always been to forge creators who are fearless, who possess an unapologetic voice, and who understand that the future of design is a disruptive act, especially our youth. You come to iFestival to see what the industry will be, not what it currently is.

Q2 : The theme, ‘The Last Invention,’ is philosophically profound. What is the core aim of this concept for the aspiring designers?

Ms. Akshra Dalal: The theme is an existential mandate.

‘The Last Invention’ pushes the participants to interrogate human progress– its legacy, ethical pitfalls, and ultimate creative peak.

Our goal is to encourage them to be fearlessly imaginative, to push past utopian complacency and explore the full spectrum of our future, whether it is radiant or dystopian. This is about deep intellectual exploration- translating grand, abstract ideas of legacy and caution into tangible, revolutionary design, fashion, and interiors.

Q3 : Is there any definitive new layer of engagement and convergence that audiences must anticipate at iFestival 2025?

Mr. Harsh Dalal: This is exactly the point I was preparing to discuss next.

Beyond the spectacle of TFA, Exhibit X, and Camp 11820, our major intellectual leap this year is the introduction of a robust panel discussion phase. This is far from a mere session; it’s a balanced convergence designed to bridge the generational gap in the design world. One can expect various discussion forums, from technological artists advocates in fashion realm, to key interior visionaries, including the Presidents and Chairpersons of prominent industry associations like NAREDCO, to brands like Architectural Digest, Pepperfry, JJ Valaya, to name a few.

Ms. Akshra Dalal: And you know what’s the most exciting part? It is the fact that this dynamic will also serve as a major catalyst for alumni- from the most recent graduates to the most veteran professionals who will share their thought process with the Jediiians, ensuring a balanced, future-proof discussion.

Q4: iFestival has always been a platform for global exchange. Have you continued to expand this international dialogue?

Ms. Akshra Dalal: We are dramatically leveling up our global footprint each year. This year too, we are proudly showcasing cultural collections from four countries: Peru, Panama, Egypt, and Russia.

You see, that’s what the exclusivity of iFestival is, not just confining to a particular norm, but being a true international nexus as well, where high fashion, design, and diplomatic culture converge.

Q5: Moving beyond fashion, could you shed some light on the vision for the interior design segment?

Mr. Harsh Dalal: Oh well, the Interior Design segment is where the theme, ‘The Last Invention,’ truly finds its architectural and conceptual form.

Students are not designing functional room, they are designing spaces that scream defiance. Expect revolutionary conceptual prototypes within Exhibit X that probes material usage, sustainability, and spatial dynamics, that will represent both, the ultimate utopia of spatial efficiency and a critical commentary on over-consumption- all brought to life with profound rigor.

Q6: Finally, how does iFestival ensure it genuinely acts as a bridge for young creators to realize their true potential beyond the existing norms?

Ms. Akshra Dalal: Our difference lies in our DNA as we leverage our entire design and tech ecosystem. Our affiliation with prestigious international platforms, including India Fashion Week London (IFWL), RC Dalal Education Trust (RCDE), Global Fashion Design Awards (GFDA), and the forthcoming India Fashion Week Dubai (IFWD), ensures our student voices resonate globally.

Moreover, we dedicate spaces for students who are uncertain about their paths, providing direct mentorship for clarity and direction. So put it simply, iFestival is not a finish line, it is the definitive launchpad for a career built on audacious vision.

The Future is at iFestival. The Voice is Unapologetic.

We invite everyone to join us at Le Meridien, Gurugram, on 6th and 7th October, and enter the epicenter of design, tech, and futuristic rebellion.
