Event occasions to mark 76th National Day

The Chief Executive, Mr John Lee, and senior federal government authorities will participate in a flag-raising event and a National Day reception on October 1 (Wednesday) to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the starting of individuals’s Republic of China.
The flag-raising event will be held at Golden Bauhinia Square outside the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) in Wan Chai at 8am. Neighborhood leaders and members of uniformed groups will participate in the event. No public seeing location will be established. The Police Band will carry out at the event and a choir from Hotung Secondary School and King’s College will sing the nationwide anthem under the lead of 2 vocalists, Lam Kwok-ho and Li Yang, followed by a fly-past and a sea parade by the disciplined services.
The National Day reception, led by the Chief Executive, will be held at the Grand Hall on Level 3 of the HKCEC after the flag-raising event.
Drivers are advised that the Police will carry out unique traffic plans at Golden Bauhinia Square and the close-by location throughout the event occasions.
