At a worldwide conference on Tamil Computing and Information Technology here, a flurry of Tamil software application efforts were launched that consisted of a Handwriting Recognition System (Tamil OCR), a Large Language Model created for Tamil, and an Augmented Reality-based Virtual Museum showcasing Tamil Heritage.
Scholars, innovation leaders, and academicians pondered on numerous elements and techniques of advancing native language innovations at the conference, which was arranged by the Department of Computational Intelligence, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), in association with International Forum for Information Technology in Tamil (INFITT).
C. Muthamizhchelvan, Vice Chancellor, SRMIST, Baskaran Kesavan, Chairman, INFITT, and S. Arumugam, Vice Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Open University, to name a few, spoke.
