As the Global Sumud Flotilla nears Gaza, activists on board report being targeted by drones, while Israel prompts the vessels to dock at Ashkelon to provide humanitarian help.

As the Global Sumud Flotilla ship approached war-torn Gaza, activists on board stated they were once again targeted by drones on Tuesday night. The flotilla reported on its main X account that drones were seen over its boats and several surges were heard.

In a video on Instagram, German human rights activist Yasemin Acar stated 5 vessels had actually been assaulted.

The flotilla, which set sail from Barcelona previously this month to challenge Israel’s blockade of Gaza, consists of prominent individuals like Swedish ecological activist Greta Thunberg.

After leaving Barcelona, the flotilla dropped in Tunisia, where it apparently dealt with drone attacks off the Tunisian coast. While it is uncertain if Israel performed the attacks, Tel Aviv has actually repeated that it will not enable the flotilla to reach Gaza.
