Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Transport Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh on Tuesday introduced the inter-State DTC bus service in between Delhi and Baraut, Uttar Pradesh.

Speaking at the occasion, Ms. Gupta stated she has actually advised the Transport Minister and DTC authorities to guarantee that bus service on brand-new paths is introduced each month.

“When I ended up being the Chief Minister, I would constantly question why Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh buses are plying in the city, however no DTC bus goes to other States. The previous federal governments had actually stopped the inter-State bus service. They did refrain from doing anything to guarantee more income,” she stated.

The inter-State DTC bus service was suspended 15 years ago in the middle of the shift from diesel to CNG and the absence of suitable facilities in the neighbouring States.

New service

The DTC will run an air-conditioned bus on the 60-km-long Delhi-Baraut path with a minimum fare of 32 and an optimum fare of 125.

The bus will stop at Khajuri Khas, Bhajan Pura, Loni border, Mandolla, Khekra, Katha, Baghpat, Goripur, Saroorpur, and Tyodhi.
