PNB Marks National Sports Day 2025 with Enthusiastic Multi-Sport Tournament
Punjab National Bank (PNB), India’s leading public sector bank, celebrated National Sports Day 2025 with a spirited multi-sport tournament, reflecting its strong commitment to employee well-being and the promotion of a healthy work culture.
In line with the directives of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, the Bank successfully conducted competitions across four major disciplines—Cricket, Hockey, Badminton, Table Tennis, and the Plank Challenge. The events drew a record 453 participants from the PNB family, demonstrating enthusiasm, teamwork, and sporting excellence.
The event saw an active participation by Shri Ashok Chandra, MD & CEO, along with ED, Shri Bibhu Prasad Mahapatra, who applauded the winners and participants for their dedication and energy.
PNB’s Hockey Team participated in the National Sports Day event held at Shivaji Stadium, Connaught Place, on August 29, 2025. The team won against Delhi 11 with a score of 3-0. This victory on Major Dhyan Chand’s birth anniversary highlights PNB’s commitment to supporting hockey and carrying forward the legacy of the sport.
