3rd AMRO-HKMA-ADBI-SEACEN Financial Leadership Training Program kept in Hong Kong (with picture)

The following is released on behalf of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority:

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), in cooperation with the ASEAN +3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO), the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), and The South East Asian Central Banks (SEACEN) Research and Training Centre (Centre), hosted the 3rd Financial Leadership Training Program (Program) in Hong Kong from August 19 to 22. Structure upon the success of the occasion in the last 2 years, this year’s Program invited over 40 senior agents from reserve banks, ministries of financing, and associated federal government firms in the ASEAN +3 and SEACEN member economies along with global organisations.

The Program targeted at improving individuals’ abilities in securing local macroeconomic and monetary stability, and offering a platform for guests to participate in extensive conversations on concerns relevant to the area, boost their management abilities, and deepen their expert understanding. Throughout the Program, individuals exchanged views with market leaders, regulators and academic community agents on topical problems consisting of regional currency use, carbon markets and catastrophe threat insurance coverage, along with fintech, expert system and monetary digitalisation.

Deputy Chief Executive of the HKMA, Mr Darryl Chan, stated, “The success of this year’s Program underscores the deepening collaboration among our regional economies and institutions. By equipping senior public sector officials with skills and insights on pressing economic and financial issues, we are not only strengthening individual capacity, but also building collective resilience across Asia.”
