The Waari Project of Utkarsh Global Foundation has got spontaneous response to its Environment Campaign of protecting nature’s beauty by distribution of cloth bags and steel water bottles to “Warkari”.
During Waari of this year 2025, there was a specific Environmental awareness Dindi by Utkarsh Global Foundation which also participated in the Ashadhi Ekadashi festival, The Dindi of Utkarsh Global Foundation was serving devotees of the great deity Vitthuraya and indulged in creating awareness about the unwanted use of plastic. The volunteers of the foundation have also collected plastic bottles lying on the road and disposed it at the right place to avoid damages to the planet.
The Utkarsh Global Foundation Established in year 2010, this organization works in various verticals as well as in the fields of environmental protection, life-sustaining education, and community empowerment by participation of the people.
This Dindi with 60 volunteers of Utkarsh Global Foundation Started on 18th June 2025 from Dehu which is the sacred birthplace of the renowned and respected Sant Tukaram. The volunteers participated in the procession of Waari at village Varavan. The Kirtan was presented by the Organisation on the environmental damages caused by excessive use of plastic and plastic waste. The Volunteers also presented a keynote marionette in Baramati to raise the awareness about the environmental damages caused by excessive and unwanted plastic. The Utkarsh Global Foundation also presented the symbolic ghost of plastic to create awareness about major environmental threat which was imminent purpose of the Dindi organized by the Utkarsh Global Foundation.
Volunteers from Utkarsh Global Foundation were walking with Tulsi saplings. The volunteers stayed with the Warkaris at 20-25 places, and at all the place of halts, the volunteers were doing service of the devotees of Vithuraya i.e. Waarkari by massaging their feet’s. A collective pledge program was held at six places along the Wari route. The Warkari also took a pledge that they would curb the use of plastic to avoid unnecessary use of plastic, and they will dispose the plastic items properly.
This Dindi concluded with the traditional Waari on July 6 in Pandharpur the Place of Vithuraya. It is pertinent to note that throughout the Wari, total 5 Lakh steel water bottles were distributed to the Waarkari by Utkarsh Global Foundation along with 5 lakh cloth bags. During the Last year i.e. 2024 Adhadhi Festival of Waari, 5 lakh cloth bags and 2.5 Lakh steel water bottles were distributed to the Warkari by Utkarsh Global Foundation with intention to create awareness on avoiding unwanted use of plastic, The founder and president of the organization, Adv. Dagdu Londhe were also participated in the Dindi.
Adv. Dagadu Londhe, the President and Founder of the Organisation also informed that during the Great spiritual festival of Maha Kumbhmela 2025 held at Prayagraj, in the state of Uttar Pradesh, Total 25 lakh cloth bags and Steel water bottles were distributed to the Devotees, He further informed that around 250 auto cloth bag dispensing machines are installed in Ayodhya to provide these cloth bags at very low prices.
Adv. Dagdu Londhe expressed his belief that the overwhelming response of Waarkari is received to the Dindi organised by Utkarsh Global Foundation will create awareness about unwanted plastic use in Maharashtra as well as across the country.
