Arthur Jones, former Ravens defensive lineman Arthur Jones and a member of the franchise’s Super Bowl XLVII-winning squad passed away on October 3, 2025 (Friday). He was found deceased at home.

Speaking on the death of the 39-year-old NFL star, a police spokesperson said, “Medical personnel were dispatched to Jones’ home in Central New York’s Onondaga County around 11 a.m. in response to a medical emergency,” the Baltimore Banner reported.

Jones was the brother of UFC heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones. As far as his family is concerned, it included wife Camille and two sons, according to reports.

“Jones had a preexisting medical condition, the spokesperson said, and he was pronounced dead at his home,” the spokesperson further stated. According to reports, there were no signs of foul play and the emergency personnel were called to Jones’ home after his defibrillator went off. As multiple details in connection with his death surface, formal cause of death has not been released.

The Baltimore Ravens released a statement from Head Coach John Harbaugh after Jones’ untimely death. “Art was truly a remarkable person. A dedicated teammate, a relentless worker, and someone any coach would be proud to lead,” the statement read.

“My heart is heavy today after the loss of Art Jones. Art was truly a remarkable person. A dedicated teammate, a relentless worker, and someone any coach would be proud to lead. His love for life, generous spirit, and radiant smile left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him,” the head coach said in the statement.

“He had a genuine gift for connecting with people, bringing joy to the locker room and beyond, and his presence was a source of light within our team and the Baltimore community. Art’s positive energy and infectious enthusiasm made him a beloved part of our organization. My deepest sympathies and prayers are with Art’s family. May his legacy of kindness live on, and may he rest in peace,” the statement further read.
