Next year’s World Cup will have 3 mascots, a bald eagle Clutch in the U.S., a jaguar Zayu in Mexico and a moose Maple in Canada.

FIFA made its statement on Thursday (September 25, 2025) in a press release, less than 9 months before the June 11 opener of the competition, the very first World Cup to be played in 3 countries.

For the 1994 World Cup in the U.S., organizers exposed a pet called Striker as the mascot throughout a press conference in October 1992 at Hollywood’s Mann Chinese Theater. A name-the-mascot project consisted of more than 25,000 entries.
