vivo launched the Y50 and Y50m back in July, and today they’re joined by a third member of the family, the Y50i.
It comes with a 6.74-inch flat LCD screen with 720×1600 resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and 1,000-nit peak brightness. The phone is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 SoC, paired with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage.

There’s a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP selfie camera, and a 6,000 mAh battery with support for 15W wired charging. The Y50i has a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint scanner embedded into the power button, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and it runs Android 15 with vivo’s Origin OS 5 on top.
It measures 167.3 x 76.95 x 8.19 mm and weighs 204g. It can be ordered in Black, Azure, and Platinum colorways for CNY 1,499, which right now means about $210. Like the rest of the Y50 series, it’s unclear if this one will ever officially make it out of China.
If you’re wondering what differentiates the Y50i from the Y50 and Y50m, it’s the fact that the new model comes with just 15W wired charging support, whereas the other two go up to 44W. And that’s it. Seriously. We have no idea why an entirely new model was necessary just for this one small thing, or who was asking for charging to be slower.
