Much of the development effort for the upcoming Oppo Find X9 series has been focused on making the cameras even better. The company continues its collaboration with Hasselblad and its work on the in-house Lumo Super Pixel Engine.

To give us a taste of what to expect, Oppo’s Liu Zuohu posted a photo from the 200MP periscope on the Oppo Find X9 Pro. The full 200MP image can’t be shared on Weibo (or any other social network, really), so Liu also supplied this crop to show off the image quality.

High pixel counts aren’t enough, anyway, according to Liu, image clarity and color accuracy are more important for flagship image quality.

According to leaks, the Find X9 Pro will have a 50MP main camera (LYT-828), a 200MP telephoto (HP5) and 50MP ultra-wide (JN5). Liu says that the main camera will be the first in the industry to support “dynamic triple exposure”. Additionally, all three cameras have been tuned to produce consistent results across all focal lengths and various shooting modes (photos, live photos, videos).

Oppo’s partnership with Hasselblad will bring not only an upgraded Master Mode, but also XPAN Mode with Ultra Light and Shadow. There’s also the optional Hasselblad imaging kit for the Find X9 Pro.

Other models in the Find X9 series will benefit from some of these developments too. For example, all X9 models will use the Danxia lenses that were previously reserved for the X8 Ultra.

Cameras aside, the Oppo Find X9 Pro will feature a 7,500mAh battery and will measure 8.25mm. Rumor has it that the phone will have a flat 6.78” 1.5K OLED display (120Hz) and a Dimensity 9500 chipset. There’s no official launch date for the Find X9 series, but Oppo is expected to reveal the new models next month.
