The RWEsearch & Health Innovation Summit 2025, hosted by Healthark concluded on a powerful note, convening 2,800+ participants from 13 countries, 62 distinguished speakers, and 42 leading organizations. Over three days, the summit spotlighted the intersection of real-world evidence (RWE), artificial intelligence (AI), digital health, and healthcare innovation, sparking global conversations on health transformation across India, the Middle East, Africa, and other regions.
The summit was formally inaugurated by Shri D. Sridhar Babu, Hon’ Minister of Information Technology, Electronics, Communications, Industries & Legislative Affairs, Government of Telangana, who emphasized the timeliness of the gathering, “At a time when healthcare and life sciences are undergoing rapid transformation, this summit provides an essential platform to discuss RWE, AI, and healthcare innovation. I congratulate the Healthark team for bringing together global leaders and experts for such a timely and impactful event.”
Ambassador Syed Akbaruddin, Founding Dean of the Kautilya School of Public Policy and former Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations, addressed a private gathering of top multinational and Indian pharmaceutical leaders at a dinner reception organized by Healthark in Hyderabad. Drawing on over three decades of diplomatic experience, he delivered a session titled “The Current Geopolitical Complexity & Its Implications for Our Current Business,” offering a strategic perspective on how shifting global dynamics are reshaping both opportunities and risks for the healthcare and life sciences sector.
Adding to this international dimension, Mr. Aditya Yellipeddi, Elected Member – Former President Legislative Assembly, Chavornay, Vaud State, Switzerland, delivered an impactful session on the “Role of Indian GCCs in Global Healthcare Innovation.” He highlighted the strategic significance of Indian Global Capability Centres in advancing research, innovation, and partnerships on a global scale.
One of the flagship sessions, “Demystifying AI for the Next Generation of GCCs,” brought together leading voices from the life sciences and healthcare industry. The panel featured John Dawber, Corporate Vice President & Managing Director – Global Business Services, Novo Nordisk; Mohit Dhingra, Managing Director – Hyderabad, Bristol Myers Squibb; Nilay Shastri, General Manager, Roche Services & Solutions India; and Mahesh Natarajan, Director, Thermo Fisher Scientific. The discussion explored how AI and automation are transforming Global Capability Centres, not only driving operational efficiencies but also contributing to innovation in R&D, clinical trials, and patient outcomes, signalling a shift from headcount-driven models to knowledge- and impact-driven growth.
Guided by co-chairs Janak Joshi and Julie Krommenhoek, and under the leadership of Dr. Purav Gandhi, Founder & CEO of Healthark, and Mr. Sudeep Krishna, Co-Founder & President of Healthark, the summit offered a platform for cross-border collaboration and knowledge-sharing. With 25 sessions, participants explored foundational and cutting-edge topics, ranging from RWE adoption and regulatory frameworks to AI-enabled clinical research and decentralized trial models.
Sessions highlighted how AI and RWE are accelerating clinical trials, improving data quality, enhancing patient recruitment, and shaping data-driven decision-making. Experts addressed key challenges, such as data bias, interoperability, and regulatory compliance, while stressing the importance of fit-for-purpose, AI-ready data and greater inclusivity in clinical trials.
Across three days, the summit brought forth a shared vision of healthcare at a tipping point. Participants discussed India’s emergence as a global healthcare innovation hub, the role of digital health platforms, and the multidisciplinary collaboration required to achieve patient-centred care.
