Big waves struck Rio de Janeiro’s shoreline in Brazil on Wednesday (July 30) due to a storm rise. According to regional media, the waves reached heights of approximately 3.7 meters (12.14 feet), triggering authorities to close close-by opportunities. Regional bartender Patrick da Rocha stated the sea took down chairs and tables at the beach bar where he works. No injuries were reported.
