A cockroach discovered on Air India flight AI 315 was humorously logged as “hanged until death” and “Khalaas, Dubai style,” stimulating viral responses and amusing remarks on social networks.

For the very first time, a cockroach, which was discovered by an Air India traveler in the Delhi-Dubai flight, was “hanged till death”.

According to a report by Gulf News, an Air India maintenance log entry revealed by a journalist stated that the incident took place on Air India flight AI 315 on October 24 when a traveler discovered a live cockroach in the cabin during the journey.

Aircraft maintenance logs are documents in which crew members record any irregularities or defects observed during flights. Mostly, these entries detail technical malfunctions or equipment issued and reports about pests are not entirely uncommon.

However, the way the matter was handled in the recent situation became viral on social media.

The log entry, shared by journalist Jagriti Chandra on X, called the rectification note as dealing with the matter “conclusively” and included a funny touch by referencing it as “Khalaas, Dubai design”. The photograph of the logbook has grained traction as users lauded the engineer’s wit.
