Mumbai: The Shiv Sena(UBT)took a dig at primary minister Devendra Fadnavis after earnings minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule offered a declaration cautioning BJP employees that their smart phones and WhatsApp groups are “under surveillance”An editorial in Saamna, the celebration mouth piece, stated Bawankule is an essential member of ‘Team Devendra’. The declaration he made concerning phone tapping can not be left to possibility. “Devendra has made more enemies within the party. Fadnavis is not in home minister Amit Shah’s ‘good books’. Therefore, is Amit Shah’s name in the list of those whose phones are being tapped? This is the question. Netas like Ashish Shelar, Sudhir Mungatiwar should be more careful,” the editorial stated. The editorial stated the BJP has actually developed such digital cages and in such a way “digitally arrested” its challengers. “The drama of ‘silence, phones are being tapped’ is currently going on in the state. It is not surprising if the phones of the opposition parties in Maharashtra are being privately tapped, but if BJP people are being put under house arrest through phone tapping, then we must assume that the dictator is scared…Maharashtra has become a repository of all kinds of illegal activities and scams.

Fake courts, fake ED, CBI teams were created in Gujarat. So how can Maharashtra lag behind? It has gone ahead of Gujarat. Action must be taken against Chandrashekhar Bawankule as per the provisions of the India Telegraph Act,” the editorial specified.

The editorial explained that in 2019, when the BJP govt was not yet formed, the then DGP worked for Fadnavis to “tap” the phones of opposition celebration leaders and supply details to Fadnavis about what was going on in the opposition camp.

“After objections were raised, a case was filed against the DGP and an investigation was started, but as soon as Fadnavis came to power again, the DGP who had been tapping the phones of the opposition was given a clean chit…Even now, the same DGP is on the post and a minister has admitted that the phones of opposition are being tapped.

If the BJP has spent at least Rs 800 to Rs 1,000 crores to set up such ‘Pegasus’ secret operation centres in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, then Bawankule should be given a civic salute for unknowingly outing this secret,” the Saamna editorial specified.Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut checked out MNS chief Raj Thackeray to talk about and prepare the opposition’s Nov 1 demonstration versus the Election Commission (EC). The opposition celebrations, consisting of Shiv Sena (UBT), NCP (SP), Congress and the MNS, will lead a morcha versus the “arbitrary and corrupt administration of EC” on Nov 1.
