Vasai: Seven prepared mix concrete (RMC) plants in Sasunavghar and Maljipada, Vasai taluka, were sealed Tuesday by Palghar collectors workplace’s flying team. These RMC plants had actually stopped working to produce copies of consents obtained by them to run, as had actually been looked for in the showcause notifications released by the Palghar collector’s workplace last month.
The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board sent them closure orders, as none of the plants apparently had consents and were running unlawfully. Ecological activists, who declared the prohibited plants are significant toxins as their emission is not kept an eye on, stated they invited Palghar collector Indurani Jakhar’s action. “This action will ensure that no illegal RMC plant flourishes in the Vasai taluka,” stated one.
“We have sealed the seven RMC plants after they failed to provide details of any permissions from the concerned authorities,” stated Chandrakant Pawar, in-charge of the flying team. “The land should have a non-agriculture (NA) certificate, there should be a consent to operate from the MPCB and they should also have a trader’s license apart from other list of mandatory documents,” he stated, including, “Since they failed to produce these documents, we updated our collector, Indurani Jakhar, who ordered us to proceed with sealing these RMC plants.
” A senior MPCB authorities stated, “We had issued closure directions to these RMC plants. Once they failed to respond, we informed MSEB which disconnected their power supply. However, they were found using generator sets to operate these plants. Hence we informed and requested VVCMC for sealing these.”Activists stated constant tracking of RMC plants is a must. In June, Vasai profits authorities had actually submitted an FIR versus 28 RMC plants when they stopped working to produce their licence copies and other necessary files. Examinations were performed and these 7 were discovered with no files.
