Jharkhand: 3 Maoists Killed in Gunfight with Security Forces

Ranchi: A minimum of 3 members of a prohibited Maoist dissenting group were eliminated in a gunfight with security forces in Jharkhand’s Gumla district on Wednesday early morning, cops stated.
The encounter in between security forces, making up the Jharkhand Jaguar and Gumla Police, and Maoists of the Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad (JJMP), occurred in a forest location under Bishnupur police headquarters limitations around 8 am.
“Three JJMP Maoists were killed in the gunfight. Three weapons were also recovered from the site,” IG (Operations) and Jharkhand Police representative Michael Raj S informed PTI.
He stated a search operation is still underway.
