AP Govt announces ₹1 crore life cover for municipal staff, ₹20 lakh for outsourced workers

Andhra Pradesh Government will provide ₹1 crore life cover to municipal workers.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced this in Peddapuram on Saturday.

Families of regular workers who lose their lives in accidents will receive ₹1 crore as insurance, while outsourced workers’ families will get ₹20 lakh each. 

In cases of permanent disability, the same amount will be ensured. He also announced education support up to ₹8 lakh for their children.

The Chief Minister participated in the SwarnAndhra-SwachhAndhra initiative at Peddapuram in Kakinada district. 

On this occasion, he participated in a cleanliness rally alongside medical students and local residents, followed by a public meeting where he addressed the gathering.
