The Judiciary today (August 13) revealed the consultation of Ms Li Ying-yue as a Permanent Magistrate. The consultation is made by the Chief Executive on the suggestion of the Judicial Officers Recommendation Commission. It will work from August 14, 2025.
The biographical note of Ms Li is as follows:
Ms Li was born in Hong Kong. She acquired an LL.B. from Durham University in the United Kingdom in 2007 and a P.C.LL. from the University of Hong Kong in 2008. She got an LL.M. in International Corporate & & Commercial Law from the King’s College London in the United Kingdom in 2020. She was contacted us to the Bar in Hong Kong in 2009 and has actually remained in personal practice from the exact same year.
