According to the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) 2025 holiday calendar, banks will be closed only in Sikkim to celebrate Tendong Lho Rum Faat festival.

Tendong Lho Rum Faat

Tendong Lho Rumfaat (Prayer of the Tendong Mountain) is a holiday celebrated by the Lepcha people of northeast India. The festival usually takes place in August. According to Lepcha legend, their ancestors climbed Tendong Mountain to escape 40 days and 40 nights of constant rain.

Note that these holidays will be observed depending on the state.
