Guy jailed by Police National Security Department

The National Security Department of the Hong Kong Police Force took enforcement actions the other day (July 31) in Sheung Shui and jailed a 43-year-old regional male for “seditious intention” and “criminal intimidation”in breach of Section 24 of the Safeguarding National Security Ordinance and Section 24 of the Crimes Ordinance.
Examination exposed that the apprehended individual was presumably associated with mailing letters to media organisations in Hong Kong. The letters consist of contents consisting of requiring with threats and provoking hatred, contempt or disaffection versus the constitutional order and the executive, legal or judicial authority of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), in addition to prompting other individual to do an act that does not adhere to the law of the HKSAR, and so on. The detained guy is being apprehended for additional queries.
Authorities advise members of the general public that “seditious intention” and “criminal intimidation” are major offenses. Transgressors will be accountable to jail time for 7 years and 5 years respectively upon conviction. Members of the general public are prompted not to defy the law.
