Spritzer (“Spritzer” or the “Company”) is aiding flood victims in Terengganu by ensuring that they have access to clean water for drinking purposes following flooding across the state after continuous rain.
Due to the continuous heavy rain in Peninsular Malaysia, it has been reported that flooding has occurred in all eight districts in Terengganu affecting more than 17,000 people at 87 relief centres.
The Company has arranged, with the help of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, to send Spritzer Natural Mineral Water to a centralised aid centre for flood victims located at the Hulu Terengganu Member of Parliament’s office, as part of efforts to alleviate their suffering. Continuous rains across the state have affected thousands, who are being housed at relief centres.
Spritzer urges everyone to be careful of contamination from the flood waters and avoid all unknown sources of water. People are encouraged to boil water from taps used for drinking, cooking and brushing teeth. Do not use discoloured water or water that have an odour and avoid contact with contaminated water on skin and eyes.

Last night, as part of Canada’s recently announced immediate support to Ukraine and the extension and expansion of Operation UNIFIER, the Canadian Armed Forces’ (CAF) training and capacity-building mission in Ukraine, a CAF C-177 Globemaster departed CFB Trenton carrying non-lethal military equipment.

Last night, as part of Canada’s recently announced immediate support to Ukraine and the extension and expansion of Operation UNIFIER, the Canadian Armed Forces’ (CAF) training and capacity-building mission in Ukraine, a CAF C-177 Globemaster departed CFB Trenton carrying non-lethal military equipment.
Canada is steadfast in its support of Ukraine’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence. This equipment donation will further help the Ukrainian security forces defend against Russia’s threats and military buildup in and around Ukraine.
This equipment includes personal protective and load carriage equipment, as well as surveillance and detection equipment. A team of CAF personnel are accompanying the equipment to assist with its integration, and to ensure Ukrainian security forces are properly trained on its function and maintenance.
These CAF personnel will then remain in Ukraine to provide additional mentoring to the Ukrainian security forces. Exact locations and dates of the arrival of the additional CAF members committed as part of Canada’s extension and expansion of Operation UNIFIER will not be disclosed for operational security reasons.
Since 2015, Canada has provided over $23 million dollars in non-lethal military equipment to Ukraine. That equipment included items such as: communications systems used for field operations, a mobile field hospital, and explosive disposal equipment. During this time, Canadian troops have also trained around 33,000 Ukrainian military and security personnel in a range of tactical and advanced military skills. In addition, civilian and military personnel from the Department of National Defence and the CAF have been supporting key elements of Ukraine’s defence reform process, such as democratic accountability and civilian oversight of defence and security institutions.

The equipment donation includes body armour and load carriage kits, binoculars, laser rangefinders, metal detectors, and spotting scopes.
The recent extension and expansion of Operation UNIFIER will ensure that members of the CAF will continue to provide enhanced military training and mentorship to Ukraine’s security forces through to the end of March 2025.
Operation UNIFIER harmonizes its efforts with other nations through a Multinational Joint Commission. This commission includes Canada, Denmark, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
The expanded training mission includes the immediate deployment of 60 additional troops – who have started to be deployed as of last week – building to a rotational deployment that can surge up to 400 CAF personnel – an increase from the previous cap of up to 245 CAF personnel.
Much of the training that was previously provided by the CAF through Operation UNIFIER since 2015 is now being delivered by Ukrainian security forces themselves, with Canadians acting as advisors and mentors.
Courses delivered include unit and brigade level tactical training, combat engineer training such as improvised explosive device disposal and explosive ordnance disposal; sniper skills; reconnaissance; development of a non-commissioned officer corps; and medical training.
