AUSTIN, Texas – WEBWIRE

Whole Foods Market CEOJason Buechelunveiled Whole Foods Markets 10-year vision to lead the company into the future, calling it Growing with Purpose, during the grocers first quarterly town hall meeting of the year.

Whole Foods Market continues to grow to 534 stores across the U.S., Canada and UK, most recently adding itsOne Wall Streetstore in New York.

The crux of Growing with Purpose is to further fulfill the companys Purpose to Nourish People and the Planet. Over the next decade, Whole Foods Market will grow by increasing and investing profits strategically while focusing on four clear priorities: Creating the best customer experience in stores and online, investing in Team Member growth and happiness, delivering exceptional business performance and expanding reach to serve customers in new ways.

This is a pivotal moment in time as we turn the page to Whole Foods Markets next chapter, Buechel said. Im so excited to share how we will deliver on our Higher Purpose, including commitments to environmental stewardship, significant financial investment into our Team Member experience, plans to set company records for new store growth, and the possibility of reaching new markets around the globe in the next decade. These are achievements that would have been beyond imagination when the first Whole Foods Market opened in Austin, Texas, more than 40 years ago.

Growing with Purpose was created as Buechel immersed himself in all aspects of the business seeking Team Member perspectives, asking questions, listening and learning, to build a forward-looking vision guided by the experience of Whole Foods Market Team Members and inspired by the retailers history and culture. In 2022, Buechel conducted the Whole Conversations Tour, in which he engaged directly with Team Members, suppliers, customers and community partners, across every region, to inform Growing with Purpose.

Whole Foods Market is the pioneer of the natural and organic food movement, Buechel said. Our legacy is strong. Now its up to us to be focused on Growing with Purpose so our future is even brighter, and we can continue our commitment to nourishing people and the planet for decades to come.

The Purpose of the Wealth Event Series is designed as a part of a citywide financial transformation model to help everyone understand their personal finances. Their goal is to help everyone in their city to be equipped with the financial knowledge and wisdom to understand money, build wealth, and transform their financial lives.

The Purpose of Wealth (PoW) Event helps people reshape their money mindset, addresses fundamentals of personal finance, and explore proven wealth building principles. By bringing together local financial experts to share their life stories, experience and financial wisdom with the mass public, PoW empowers local people to come together and take control of their city’s financial landscape.

Today, over 70% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, according to a 2021 survey done by the PYMNTS and Lending Club. On the other hand, over 10% of American households are millionaire households, and 40% of the world’s millionaires live in the United States, according to the Millionaire Foundry. 40%! Why? For most, the answer is simple. Knowledge, choices, and vision.

The PoW Event isn’t just about money. It’s about aligning a person’s life, heart, and spirit with developing a purpose for their life and money. Their goal is to help people develop a healthy mindset related to money and wealth, equip them with the knowledge to manage their money and build wealth, and create a vision for life and financial future to help make the world a better place.

The PoW Event addresses the good and bad life choices we all make related to money, how couples can thrive in their relationships with proper perspective on their finances, practical steps for building a financial foundation and mindset around money, and proven wealth building financial principles.

PoW will feature four speakers covering different elements of life and money and conclude with a wrap up panel to answer questions the audience has accumulated throughout the day. Their goal is to equip our communities and churches with a healthy perspective on money and wealth.

Message from “Purpose Is Life” Founder and CEO

Read the first quarter message released this month from CEO and Founder of Purpose Is Life, Jamill C. Jones: “As I reflect on the commitment I have to the community of Washington, D.C., I am extremely proud of what we have been able to achieve. I am even more excited about our outlook for an equally promising future. We have successfully managed and hosted events throughout our most vulnerable communities and have worked tirelessly to continue moving our efforts forward.

“It is satisfying to know that we have the support of our local government, and our community in acquiring the necessary means to reach our goals. This collective support enables us to continue to launch new strategies and establish new partnerships. As a result, we are able to ensure the families in our community have the resources they need to succeed.

“As our community strengthens, each new day offers a chance for us to work together, pursue new opportunities and improve upon the past. We continue to manage our business around the evolving needs of our community – and that puts us at the forefront of building a Purposeful Life.”
