General out-patient clinic service arrangements for Ching Ming Festival and Easter public holidays

The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:

     The Hospital Authority (HA) spokesman today (April 3) announced that 16 general out-patient clinics (GOPCs) will provide public holiday GOPC services during the Ching Ming Festival (April 5) and Easter public holidays (April 7 – 10) (see table below). Patients may book an appointment either through the telephone appointment system or the “Book GOPC” function of the “HA Go” mobile app.
 
     The spokesman reminded the public that number of flu cases is increasing recently. Members of the public are advised to maintain personal and environmental hygiene to prevent infection. The public should seek medical advice early if respiratory symptoms are developed.
 
     The spokesman supplemented, “According to previous experience, the service demand of public hospital will increase rapidly in the latter part of the holidays as well as the first working day following the holiday. Patients may also consider to attend consultation from private family doctors. To choose a suitable family doctor and related clinic service, the public can browse the Primary Care Directory of the Health Bureau at www.pcdirectory.gov.hk.”

Wan Tsui General Out-patient Clinic to resume service after renovation

The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:

     The spokesperson for Hong Kong East Cluster (HKEC) today (July 26) announced that Wan Tsui General Out-patient Clinic will resume service next Monday (August 2) at its original site at G/F, Block 12, Wan Tsui Estate, Chai Wan, upon completion of renovation works. The service hours will remain unchanged (details below).

     According to the spokesperson, due to the earlier renovation works, the services of the clinic had been temporarily relocated to Shau Kei Wan Jockey Club General Out-patient Clinic. Following the resumption of clinic services at the original site, the temporary service relocation will cease operation with effect from the same day.
 
     Patients with chronic illnesses requiring regular follow-up have been informed and follow-up appointments have been arranged for the original clinic site. Patients with episodic illnesses can make appointments via the Telephone Appointment System (Tel: 3157 0099) or the “Book GOPC” function in the “HA Go” mobile application as usual.
 
     “HKEC has already informed the residents in the district on the service arrangement through various channels, including banners outside the clinic under renovation and posters in the temporary service relocation clinic. The respective District Council has also been informed. A reminder message is also added to the Telephone Appointment System of Wan Tsui General Out-patient Clinic and the ‘Book GOPC’ function in the ‘HA Go’ mobile application,” the spokesperson said.
