Canada – Alternating lane closure on LaSalle Causeway

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to advise motorists of an alternating lane closure on the LaSalle Causeway for maintenance work.

Kingston, Ontario, September 27, 2021 — Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to advise motorists of an alternating lane closure on the LaSalle Causeway for maintenance work during the following periods:

from Tuesday, September 28, at 6 pm to Wednesday, September 29, at 6 am

During these periods, one lane will be closed and one lane will remain open for alternating traffic. Two flagpersons will be on site to direct traffic. Motorists should expect short delays.

The bridge will remain open to cyclists and pedestrians during these periods, and marine traffic will not be affected.

In case of inclement weather, the work will be postponed to Wednesday, September 29, and Thursday, September 30.

PSPC encourages users to exercise caution when travelling on the bridge and thanks them for their patience.

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to advise motorists of alternating lane reductions on the Burlington Canal Lift Bridge for maintenance work.

Hamilton, Ontario, September 27, 2021 — Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to advise motorists of alternating lane reductions on the Burlington Canal Lift Bridge for maintenance work during the following periods:

Wednesday, September 29, from 9 am to 3 pm

During these periods, the lanes will be reduced alternately and two flagpersons will be on site to control traffic. Motorists should expect short delays.

The bridge will remain open to cyclists and pedestrians, and marine traffic will not be affected during the lane reductions.

The schedule may change depending on weather conditions.

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to advise motorists of an alternating lane reduction on the Des Allumettes Bridge for maintenance work during the following periods:

Wednesday, September 15, from 9 am to 3 pm
Thursday, September 16, from 9 am to 3 pm

During these periods, the northbound lane will be reduced. Portable signal lights will be on site to direct traffic. Motorists may encounter delays.

Tuesday, August 3, to Thursday, August 12, from 8 pm to 6 am

 During this period, one lane will be closed and one lane will remain open for alternating traffic. Two flagpersons will be on site to direct traffic. Motorists should expect short delays.

The bridge will remain open to cyclists and pedestrians during this period, and marine traffic will not be affected.

Canada – Alternating lane and sidewalk closures on Chaudiere Crossing

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to advise motorists, pedestrians and cyclists that there will be alternating lane and sidewalk closures on the Chaudiere Crossing for maintenance work during the following periods: 

Closure of the sidewalk adjacent to the Ottawa-bound lane on Wednesday, May 26, from 7 to 10 pm
Closure of the sidewalk adjacent to the Gatineau-bound lane from Wednesday, May 26, at 10 pm to Thursday, May 27, at 1 am 
Closure of the Ottawa-bound lane on Thursday, May 27, from 1 to 6 am 
Closure of the Ottawa-bound lane on Thursday, May 27, from 7 to 10 pm
Closure of the Gatineau-bound lane from Thursday, May 27, at 10 pm to Friday, May 28, at 6 am 

During these periods, only one lane will be open to traffic in alternating directions and access to pedestrians and cyclists will be permitted on the opposite sidewalk. Road signage will be in place, and flagpersons will direct traffic. Motorists can expect delays.
