According to police, the incident took place on the evening of June 14 at Sai Santoshi Building in Achole village, Nalasopara East.
Officials said Sanchita was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her bedroom using a saree. The room was reportedly locked from the inside.
Family members rushed her to a nearby Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation hospital, where doctors declared her dead after examination.
Police Register ADR, Investigation Underway
Speaking to mediapersons, Achole Police officials said an Accidental Death Report (ADR) was registered on June 15 based on a complaint filed by her father, Machhindra Ugale.
The case has been registered under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).
Police have launched an investigation and are currently trying to determine the circumstances that led to the actor’s death.
Sanchita Ugale’s Television Career
Despite her young age, Sanchita had already made a mark in the television industry.
She gained recognition for portraying Diya Tandon in the popular Zee TV drama Kumkum Bhagya.
