The romantic funny Madhuvidhu is set to make its digital best on Sony LIV on May 22, following its theatrical run previously this year. Directed by debutant Vishnu Aravind, the movie stars Sharaf U Dheen ahead function.
Embed in Adoor, Madhuvidhu centres on Amrutharaj, commonly referred to as Ammu, a boy from the eccentric Aanjalimoottil family, occupied completely by guys. Rumours surrounding a supposed household curse and the disorderly nature of the tharavad complicate his marital relationship potential customers, till the arrival of Sneha Marcose alters the characteristics within the household. The movie, which had a moderate box-office run, follows the newlywed couple as they browse the expectations, disputes and psychological modifications of married life.
Madhuvidhu mared the big-screen launching of Kalyani Panicker, child of veteran star Bindu Panicker, as Sneha. The supporting cast consists of Jagadish, Saikumar, Azees Nedumangad, Sreejaya, Amal Jose and Sanju Madhu. Collectively composed by Bibin Mohan and Jai Vishnu, the movie mixes humour and domestic drama versus the background of a conventional household setup. The music is made up by Hesham Abdul Wahab, with cinematography by Viswajith Odukkathil and modifying by Christy Sebastian.
Produced by Vinayaka Ajith under the banner of Ajith Vinayaka Films, Madhuvidhu was co-produced by Santhakumar and Malavika Krishnadas under Babu Ettan Films. An excerpt from the CE evaluation of the movie checks out, “All said, Madhuvidhu is watchable. Not consistently good, not particularly fresh, but watchable. A lot of the film stays afloat because of the easy charm at its centre and the strength of some finely judged supporting turns that add warmth and weight. Had the emotional moments landed with more conviction, this would have been a much sweeter ride.”
